    • RE: Mrs Lee Math Tuition - Discussion

      Silentreader:
May i ask is it true? So easy A*?

Because nickle bee tutors facebook just posted their A* students this year. Only 1 from gep and 3 from normal standard got A*
And nickle bee charges $600 a month.
I also heard from my friend this year her daughter says only those consistently A* in p6 got it. About 6 people frm her top class
      Hi,
I think it’s not “easy” to get A* it’s really a combination. And it was a good combination for my kid. Teacher putting in lots of effort to ensure the kid understands what he’s learning and the kid putting in tons of effort as well. Mine has not gotten A* ever since P4, mostly only As, but he finally managed to get A* during PSLE. Goals are important too. Especially when he knows Mrs Lee had faith in him to get A*. I think that helped him set his goals.

For those who are still searching, Leaping Math is definitely a very good choice. My boy was doing so so in P4, thus we decided to send him for enrichment as P5 and 6 will be a challenge. We were also searching high and low, and finally decided to go to Mrs Lee. With Mrs Lee’s patient guidance, encouragement and faith in him, he got and A* for his PSLE. I remember that she’ll keep telling my boy and us, A* is not a problem for him, he can make it. Thank you Mrs Lee.

Mrs Lee is strict but caring and very dedicated. She doesn’t only make sure the kids finish up their work, she takes great effort to ensure that the kids understand what they are doing and are able to grasp the concept. She teaches really good methods and techniques to solve the problem sums, and my boy definitely benefited from all the techniques taught. I heard from him that some questions drilled into them came out during PSLE as well. Kudos Mrs Lee!

      Oh My Gosh:

      Hi,

May I know if a child enters through DSA, is the cut-off point lower than the normal intake?

      TIA

There is no \"cut-off\" point for DSA student. For a student who got a Confirmed Offer, as long as he/she gets a T-score equal or higher that is eligible to Express Stream (around 200 I think), he/she is confirmed a place in the school.

      Thanks OMG,

Yes the t-score. As I heard some school needs a lesser tscore than their normal intake if it is through dsa. Is this true?

No need. During DD's time, I saw some kids turn up in own clothes. Sometimes it's cos they've outgrown the uniform.

Ohh. Jfyi hci allows students to not wear

I'm sorry if it offends. But I thought this was very funny 😂
