Bad choice. I’m so intending to pull out my child from the kindy. The teachers do it as a job, not for the love and passion of teaching. They have no patience.


Overheard when the kids end school…

Grandma: (telling grandkid) Say bye bye to teacher.
Teacher: No need. Already said.

Does it hurt to just let the child greet u one more time? Seriously?

Form teacher leaves job and gives notice the day before she leaves. Todate, no updates on replacement. Been more than a month.

No teacher parent communication. They have email addresses but they don’t bother to check or reply.

You call to inform school that your child is unwell and for the staff to inform teacher, nothing goes to the teacher so the teacher calls to ask why your child has been missing from school. Then you tell the teacher that you left message with admin and also emailed her to inform.

"Oh… I’m sorry I’m too busy to check my email" was her reply. And the email sent was more than 3 days ago for the 3 days your child was missing from school.

For the fees they collect, you have to prepare your own snack for your child to eat in school.

Parents… go judge.

Yah MJ is mahjong. Wad else can we do to have food and drinks and entertainment (for hours) without being given the death stare by waitresses waiting to clear the table or next table neighbours complaining about boisterous kids enjoying themselves too?

Pre-N per term is $900. Can’t remember how much deposit is. You can use CDA to pay for school fees. There will be a $2 charge though.

mschar... have u heard? I think a few kids in their class are not continuing next yr in the kindy anymore. not due to anything else but the fees(too ex!!!). I heard from my hub who picks him up in the afternoon. You know how the ah ma's like to chat and all... heard them say.


which montessori u wanna switch her back to? is it better there? I actually am quite pleased with the teachers at Calvary but then the distance is quite a problem and me and my hub's schedules have changed so it's really quite difficult to be ferrying him to and fro. Worst thing is.... the school bus doesnt pick up from our place at Bishan.

i m thinking of puting my boy in pre-N nex year...but according to year he shld be in nursery leh as he's turning 3 in july. But when i check with the incharge, she indicated he's in pre-nursery as it's 2-3 years old for pre-N..so confusing leh..<<<<<Pre-N is for kids who are 3 yrs old the year they are in Pre-N. I also got a little confused initially. Apparently, my boy will only turn 3 yrs old AFTER he completes Pre-N. He's a December baby. Hope this helps.

how's the student - teacher ratio? and are the teachers caring for the students? my boy still haven toliet train and not sure if the teacher there will so call teach them tt? quite afraid if i let him go diaperless he will just pee on his pants and make a mess for the teachers..<<<Can't remember how many in his class now but managable by the teachers. My boy's form teacher is an excellent one. She gets along very well with the kids in class but is firm enough on them for them to listen and obey her instructions. If they cry in class or gets punished, she will call up and explain the situation. My boy was the last one in class to be toilet trained (since he is also the youngest in class). No problem at all. Teachers were all very patient and the asst-teachers or helpers are all really nice.
