Does anyone know if HCL is good for P1 kids? Which teachers are good for this level? Thank you in advance…

Yes, thanks for sharing that. I heard of some parents who do that, it makes sense but of course parents need to put in hard work cannot rely on the electronic dictionary…
Thanks for all the input though, very helpful. -
RE: Mindchamps Preschool esp Tampines branch
png14:
My oldest son was in Mindchamps Lorong Chuan when he was in PG and N1. We liked it. There always was a buzz about the place and her teachers were good. I went to check out TPY and Upper Thomson before. I did not think much of TPY and there were a number of HFMD cases there from what I heard. Upper Thomson seems ok too..but my feel of Mindchamps is a lot depends on the centre and teachers there as they are all franchises.Hello all, I understand that Mindchamps TPY is the most popular branch they have.
Anyone can enlighten me as to why is that so? Besides that it is a HQ. Are the teachers there better? I am assuming curriculum is the same.
I am also trying to see if there is any review on Mindchamps @ Upper Thomson.
Thanks in advance! -
RE: Wang Learning Centre 汪老師 - Discussion
Yes agree. When my son was in Berries from N1, we also revised with him. But my chinese is not up to upper pri std I am afraid. One idea could be to get a tutor but I would prefer that he can learn as much from tuition. He is coping well now but just want to find a good grounding and a good centre before he hits P3.
My friend whose son was in 汪老師 also mentioned that the Eastgate centre has more experienced teachers. Not sure how the 汪老師 at AMK is. We are staying near that one. -
RE: Wang Learning Centre 汪老師 - Discussion
Thanks everyone, I heard from one of my friends that her son could not cope with 汪老師 and switched off from Chinese since then. This year he tried HCL and is picking up. But at the same time I have another friend who swears by 汪老師 so I wanted to gather more info before making a decision…

RE: Wang Learning Centre 汪老師 - Discussion
Hi,
I would like to ask for some advice. My boy is in P1. He was in Berries previously then had a private tutor for a while but I found her so so only.
I heard good reviews of Wang and HCL from friends. But my friends did say Wang may be too difficult for P1. Does anyone have P1 kids there? Do you recommend starting so young at Wang? -
RE: Rosyth

Ok thanks..cmw80:
Does anyone know the chances of changing school to Rosyth? My son is P1 this year. He is now in Xin Min primary but I am thinking of transferring to Rosyth as my neighbours were saying the teachers at Rosyth and management is better..but not sure if they take it students halfway. One of my neighbours said they do take in students who do very well..
You can submit your application for waitlist at the general office . -
RE: Managing children's use of digital devices
My kid is 7 but somehow his friends are talking about such things maybe because his best friend has an older sibling who is glued to his devices and to social media. He can come back with a list of people he wants to watch
I think I better set stricter rules and boundaries
Thanks Zac’s mum… -

RE: Managing children's use of digital devices
I am worried about my kids following youtube stars like Logan Paul…sigh, even when I try to limit, the classmates talk about them and when I give them their limited time to go online, they will search out such people, how do you all manage that?
