Not sure if I can ask this query in this thread - what % (roughly) of cohort get AL4?
I was told that the cut-off to qualify for Edusave Scholarships for Independent Schools (Top 3% of cohort) is AL5, which in the old T-score is about 260?

So perhaps only the Top 1% of the cohort will get AL4?

In all honesty, maybe they should just ban gep training centers rather than throw away the gep programme which is a lifeline to many disengaged children
True. We really shouldn't be throwing the baby out with the bathwater.

At least - get an ex gepper to reflect 20 years later.

      Might be more convincing.
Dead giveaway was The Straits Times getting a Marketing Consultant and Business Strategist to write the article.

Sounds like the start of a \"grassroots\" Social Campaign.

Floating of a \"trial balloon\" by MOE and Straits Times to observe the reaction of Singaporean parents? After all, rumour has it that the Gifted Education Programme System will be scrapped in the coming years?

      Hello, anyone receiving the news?
For the NUS High's SPSO? No news yet from my son's school. I thought results would have been released by today.

My son attends BlueTree Education in the West at West Coast! He's a P6 student this year and I only enrolled him at the end of last year cuz I heard that they have a PPC for P5 students. My son really enjoyed the course and I did some research on them and watched their youtube videos. Actually not bad, they have a very structured way of teaching students how to answer the questions especially Science. They have a technique to teach students but I can't remember what it's called. Anyways, my son's results came back for the mid-year assessment and he did pretty well, much improvement compared to before. If you're interested, can consider sending your child to BlueTree Education. They have alot of branches but the one that I go to is West Coast.

Conclusion: not bad, can give it a try.
I signed up my Son for the BlueTree Education Science Holiday Workshop at the Coronation Plaza outlet. His feedback was that the teacher is good at teaching and he did learn quite a lot from the holiday workshop.

Hi, any recommendation for math Olympiad at Marine Parade area?
Anyone with math classroom? How do you all find it?[/quote]
My son attended the Math Kangaroo Competition training at \"The Math Classroom\" when he was in Primary 3. He got a Gold in that year.

We didn't find the lady trainer at \"The Math Classroom\" very fantastic though. So from Primary 4 onwards, we decided to just let our son choose the MO books he liked and we also bought some additional MO resources from Popular and Online for his own self-study.

Just through self-study, my son picked up a Gold in the SASMO this year. We are nearing the end of Primary 5 now, so we are changing our focus to the PSLE.

Do you know of anyone attending classes at \"NickleBee Tutors\"? I am considering to let my son join their Advanced PSLE Math Master Class.
