If the mean student COP is 240 that makes TKGS equal to schools like St Nicholas, MGS and SCGS.
What’s more impt is the fact that TKGS has no affiliated feeder primary school which means the COP range is narrower (closer abilities, motivatedness across the cohort)
No surprise at the high number of applicants. At 236, its a tremendous value COP for an all express girls’ school especially compared to schools which are not exclusively express stream yet requiring higher COP.

RE: MSG IP Vs SCGS IP
Kiasudada:
Not all IP the same.Hi, My DD got 259+3 and need advice on below:
1. Since both MSG and SCGS IP is new, any idea which school is better?
SCGS IP = A levels
MGS IP = International Baccalaureate
Look up the pros and cons of the two different certifications and programs before comparing schools. -

For CAT 1 and 2 third language, I think more weightage given to Eng plus MT scores rather than overall T-score.Hi Parents,
If your child was offered three categories of third language this year, could you please enter his/her T-score here so we can determine the COP for top 10% this year. Thanks. -

MGS IP leads to International Baccalaureate.Thanks. jtoh !
Pardon my igorance.....How about NJC vs MGS?l
Thanx so much!!!!
Its being offered for the first time this year at MGS and the first for a girls school.
Prior to 2013 intake, IB is only offered at ACS and SJI .
All the other IP like NJC and even RGS IP leads to A Levels.
Research the pros and cons of IB vs A levels before deciding on NJC vs MGS. -
RE: Stationery and School bags
Look out for this brand \"Sanhao\".
Brand not so glam but they make a great backpack model which looks well made with quality materials, smooth zippers and have comfortable padded shoulder straps.
Much better than the Dickies bag that my daughter made me buy for her earlier this year.
Big enuff for the biggest school textbook.
Design not bad and logo not too big*.
Depth just deep enough to carry schoolbooks so doesn't look like you're hauling potatoes.
It also comes with a buckle strap to link the two shoulder straps across the chest for a snug fit.
I got it outside Fairprice Downtown East a month ago.
Tremendous value for money at $20.00 only.
*kids nowsadays can be brand conscious but they should know by now everything's made in China these days. Why not get a pukka China brand?
