      Thanks Ryes for the clarification.

I hope my girl will transit into SMPS smoothly. I’m worried she’ll have problem adapting to too many changes at one go. Keeping my fingers crossed.

      Hi parents with P3 child,

My daughter will be joining SMPS in term 2 this year as a new P3 student. I would like to ask the following questions.
      1. Besides CCA, are the P3 required to stay back after school every week for supplementary or remedial classes?
      2. How’s the homework load every day.
      3. Can I get both the PE attire and school uniforms from Baba and Bibi?
      4. Do the students wear tie to school every day?

Sorry for the long questions. I’m toi anxious.
      3.

Hi I was wondering if the non-GEP students who applied to NYGH or NJC have gone for interviews already? My dd has not received anything from NYGH and NJC after going for the ability tests last month. Anyone knows? My dd told me that she has probably been rejected. Wondering if there is any chance for her.

      Hi,

My DD did not get any chance after GAT too. Her school n classmates did not receive news too. My hub said no chance since so many co n wl out.

      Hi,

Though it can be discouraging to see so many CO and WL, but life still goes on. We should share the joy with these successful applicants, aren't we? :rahrah:

In my humble opinion, my DD has done well in her P6 SA1 (overall percentage is close to 90%) and has attained Grade 9 in her Chinese musical instrument. She went for GAT and audition. The instrutor did comment on that day of audition that she played very well. We were pinning high hope then but from the looks of it, we were wrong. Anyway, my DD is very positive. She felt that in a way this 'failure' (she called it that way) is not the end of the world and it will spur her to work extra hard to get into NYGS with her own excellent PSLE results. Hence, the rest of you, please do not feel dejected. Continue to encourage your DDs. All the best! :rahrah: :rahrah:

M really envious of those who have received CO. My DD didn’t even have the chance to go for NYGH’s interview. I’ve mentally prepared her that her DSA application isn’t successful n she has to work hard to go in thru her impressive PSLE results.

Here’s wishing all, all the best in their dream schools.

      Hi all,

I've been following this thread recently. Congrats to all whose DD got CO to NYHS. My DD applied for NYHS using special talent, Pi Pa. She went for the audition but so far there is no news from the NYHS yet. This is really testing our patience.

Anyone who applied RVHS got CO yet?

      :welcome: dingdang!

I Emailed to them on Monday and the sch rely to me within the Same Day, saying that they R in the Midst of Compiling the Data for DSA thru CCA - Chinese Dance and Will be informing shortlisted Candidates for Interview Next Week.

U May Wish to Email NYGH to Enquire on the Interview for Chinese Musical Instrument ....

Thks Funx3. I will email them directly then. My girl's P5 results wasn't that fantastic though she've done very well in P6 SA1. Her audition went on very well but my worry is her P5 results will ruin her chance of getting into NYGS. keeping fingers crossed.

How about RVHS? Anyone here applied?

    • RE: All About Ballet

      Hi,

You may want to consider Dance Castle at Bukit Merah Central.
      http://www.dancecastle.com/

I'm totally impressed with their Ballet teacher, Miss Nicole. She may be young but she really teaches the kids with heart. She's always caring and has her way to pacify the kids or get the shy ones to participates in the dance class.

'branded' dance school may not be the best. My girl is shy by nature, and she tried a few 'branded' ballet schools but none of the teachers are able to let my girl overcome her fear and shyness in 1st few lessons.

The cost fee is quite reasonable too. You may call n enquire.
