A girls’ school can help your daughter be all she can be simply by encouraging and nurturing her. Everything is possible. Nothing is off limits.

I seem to have misplaced the confirmation note from St Margaret's on my DD's successful registration.

Can any mum tell me what time is the orientation that is happening on 13 Nov?

No need to worry, think somewhere next month, you will receive an orientation packages. They will also tell you which class your dd in.

Both my girls are in St Margaret 😄 (P1 & P3) and they both enjoyed the school 🙂

      Hi hsm
Will you be going for the briefing on 19 Sep about affiliation to St Margaret Secondary School? Noted that the briefing is only for parents of p1 to p3 only.
Doraemo, does your DD likes the after school care?
Initially , she didn’t like it, told us she has no friends there. Spoken to the teachers on this, they said no need to worry after some times they will warm up and they created some games for them to play together as a group. My girl’s class has 7 of them in the after care. Now, she loves going to school and aftercare because she has many friends from different classes and also the seniors , she got to know all of them from the after sch care. That’s one thing good about being in the school after care.
The after care teachers are caring and nice especially their Chinese teacher, very motherly. The p1 girls like her. They also has many activities for them during the school holiday, the June holi, they went to watch Night at the Museum2 , National library, Canopy Walk, science workshops and intensive tuition programme for Math and English, art and craft.etc.

Last year, I signed up my girl for the after care before the orientation , so on that day of orientation just collected the YMCA T-shirts. There was long queue for transport , uniform, textbooks etc. It’s better to have two persons, one settled the admin stuffs and other queue to buy textbooks etc. The p1 girls were being taken care of by their buddy on that day.

In St Margret’s primary. They have YMCA after school care in the school, so my P1 girl stay there after school. Take her lunch, bath, nap( for about 1hr),tea-break and do her home work (guided by the YMCA’s teachers) in the after school care. The school bus will come at 5.45pm, she’ll reach home at around 6.30pm, just in time for me to fetch the younger girl.from childcare first after work.

You may call YMCA after school care@St Margaret, 63335084, look for Mrs Maggie Lee.

    • RE: St Margaret's Primary

During the orientation last year, the principal mentioned that p1 children are given 10 months of honeymoon…no CA1 and SA1.

Don’t worry about their recess, they have P4 as buddy to P1 for one whole month. My girl adjusted well and is very chatty, confident and has many friends. She is quite fit now as the school has 3 PE lessons (including gymnastics ) in the week and one morning workout so they have to put on PE attire for 4 times a week .
