Thank you mummyxoxo, I live in punggol 😄

Anyway, today my boy just had his first lesson with the Math tutor that Lynn had recommended. I was watching the 2 of them via my CCTV, haha, well, I must say I'm pretty impressed! (for the time being, need to make more observation to conclude further :D)
      Hi anxiousmumny

Can you share Lynn’s maths tutor contact? Thanks lots!!

    • RE: Yishun Town Secondary School

      Jaydazzlerz:
I agree with Yishun Yown being the best option. My DS had the exp/na option after PSLE and we were bang on sending him to YT at NA level despite him being eligible for Exp elsewhere. The strategy of the school and teachers were so motivating and despite the heavy workload, he managed to top his class for 2 years and get into Exp in sec 3. This was from him being an average kid in pri sch.Highly recommended and results speaks for itself.

      Hi Jaydazzlerz

Someone mentioned students in NA in a good school (I consider YTSS a good school in a neighbourhood) will face discrimination from those in express and even the teachers. Did your son ever complain? How many NA class are there in YT? If possible can email me apple06d@yahoo.com.sg? Thanks

      BePersevere:
Dear Parents, this year performance is exceptional! My son is from a below average class. There is no way he is able to DSA because his results is always around low 60%, sometimes even lower. I am so grateful and unbelievable that he took back a 24x, giving him a wider choices of secondary schools. It was just like a dream.

Many students did not even do well in the Prelim and top school papers vendor even rated our school prelim papers as 'super easy'. This is demoralizing for many. Super easy papers yet the prelim results are horrible? How to sit for PSLE in a few weeks time?

Apart from the 70 students who got above 250, many students from average classes did well, with score greater than 240, some even did better than students from A and B classes. With hard work and determination, regardless which class you are in, it is possible for you to do well and I wish next year P6 all the best. You can do it too.

Nevertheless, this good showing is also because parents are investing more $$$ in tuition and I do not think I need to elaborate why the need to do so. Many parents already knew the changes that happened throughout this year, sending cold chill down our spine. It is finally over now.
Hi BePerserve, tried to pm you but the msg is not going through. Can you please pm me? Thanks.

    • RE: All About Choosing and Buying Pianos

Thanks for sharing and your advice, Dreamaurora! The clavinova is actually quite out of my budget for a digital as my gal just started learning and I don't want to spend too much incase she loses interest. Will consider the casio GP series if she advance to higher level. Thanks.

Do you mean you can get a cheaper but new clavinova at Yamaha? :scratchhead:

Thanks Dreamaurora! is Casio GP300 an exam graded piano?

By the way, though the display set may be seldom played or turned on, but any issue with the keys being exposed and collection of dust? Will this affect the piano? Any idea anything I should look out for in a displayed set? Thanks thanks.

    • RE: All About Choosing and Buying Pianos

Hi, is it advisable to get a display set? My gal just started learning and we are thinking of getting a slightly better digital piano ie clavinova CLP535 as opposed to a normal piano due to space constraint.

    • RE: CMA Math - Discussion

Hi mummies, my girl is now P1. Is it too late for her to learn CMA? Will it be confusing? Understand this program is meant for till 13 yo, will it be helpful for the upper primary kids?

I am staying at Fernvale. Considering either Kovan or Sengkang branch. Appreciate if anyone can share with me the feedback, recommendations and referral of both centres please.

      Thank you!
