Please help with model.... Thank you

Sharmani is 35 years old and Jodie is 3 years old now. In how many years time will Sharmani be 5 times as old as Jodie.

A pet shop owner has some hamsters and cages. If 5 hamsters are placed in each cage, 2 hamster will be left. If 6 hamsters are placed in each cage, one cage will be empty.
      a. How Many cages does the pet shop owner have?
      b. How many hamsters are there?

Pei Tong has a Gold Science Olympiad Winner as announced on their Facebook page today. The Principal has also been awarded a bronze medal for Public Administration for this year National Day. Very proud of this school. The teachers do care for the kids.

    • RE: All About Kids' Eye-sight

HI all, my boy is slight myopic. I bought him a pair of pinhole glasses in April 2012 and he wears it in school every time the white board is used. He also wears it to play computer games. So far, so good. No more complain about headaches and dizziness.

Plus good eye habits and exposure to the sunlight and green trees, the eye will re-adjust itself to perfection as the eye itself is a muscle.

This article may be of interest. It's on Perfect Eyesight Without Glasses by Dr. Bates. The downloads on eye care and eye health are all free.

Dear parents, anyone has girl/boy going to Pei Tong P1 in 2013? Could you please share the \"things to bring on the 1st day\" list with me? I didn't attend the orientation in Nov. Thanks much!!

Hi sunnyh, I believe the essentials will be

      - FTGP book as it is a Wednesday
      - school diary (everyday)
      - the 1st booklet of all the english booklets which we purchased from the bookshop.
      - P1A Math textbook and workbook
      - Stellar Handwriting
      - 2 broadlines exercise book
      - 1 big square exercise book for Chinese spelling

Of course, water bottle and snacks & food for tea-break and recess.

Have to wait for the timetable which will be issued on Monday. And please ensure the school tie is worn every Monday as there is assembly. I think that's all to it.

BTW, my boy's P1 teacher is following up with them to P2. So I'm quite happy about this.

    • RE: Pei Tong Primary

I’ve checked out Little Professor’s Student Care at Blk 433 Clementi Ave 3. Seems quite good as they do check with the children and ensure they finish their school homework plus other homework given by parents (if any). They do not nap at the centre but will eat their lunch there after school.

I decided to place my boy there. If any of you are still looking for a student care, then do drop by their place. I think they are almost full!

Son going on to P3 next year. They have yet to select the CCA. Any idea how is the CCA selection like? Which are the 'better' CCAs in PT?

I suppose the 'better' CCAs are those with a lot of prizes won over the years?

the school moved back to telok blangah alr?

Hi, I'm an old girl of CHIJ STC (graduated in early 90s'). The old and new buildings used to be side by side. But the old buildings should be gone by now.
STC has always been in Telok Blangah.

      Hi fuzzybee

My boy is in Pei Tong too. Do you send your boy to student care after school? If so, which one does he go to? any good ones nearby can recommend? Thanks.
Hi Sunnyh, my boy currently does not attend any BASC. I think Learning Loft at Clementi Ave 3 is not bad. I went up to check on the premise and the place is quite clean generally. They also provide English and Math tuition as part of the BASC.
