      mommyNg:
Not sure. The P and the math teachers in NJC all discouraged tuition - I still remembered the P saying that it is the responsibility for the teachers to teach, and not to pass it over to tuition teachers. So far, mine doesn't go to tuition. And she said if unclear, can always seek consultations with her math teacher and/or ask her friends for help. Also, I heard that NJC syllabus is not the same as most other IP schools, so most tuition centers are not able to teach them well. So unless you try for one-to-one private tuition, or managed to get a group of NJC students together in the same tuition center in one class, otherwise, it may be difficult to find a tuition center that covers NJC syllabus.

Thanks MommyNg for your reply. I will re-consider my decision again.... 😓

Due to clashes with other lessons/CCA and some said cannot cope as they are required to sit for CA and final exams as well as assignments. I was told they even need to write essays for 3rd language classes. Can anyone verified and shared if there are really many homeworks for 3rd langauage and is the compo writing difficult?

      Thks to everyone for sharing.

I have asked around and was told not advisable to take 3rd Language so I guess we will just give it up.

      Happy Holidays to all.

Taking the bus is also an issue. I heard the buses are very crowded during the peak. Sighs…

Do you mean your boy is also form NJC and will travel by bus to newton for his language class?

I read in the forums tyhat quite a number of dropouts from the 3rd language classes after attending for a few months as its quite demanding so rather skeptical about enrolling.

Hi, we have tried to walk from TKK mrt station and the average distance is at least 20mins all the way into NJC atrium by strolling. Not sure when school starts will there be more crowd...

Which Pri School was your child previously from?

Anyone child will be taking Japanese 3rd Lanaguage and travelling from NJC to newton?

the distance does not looked like 20min, sigh...

yeah my son is taking Japanese and going to register today

Oops then we must have underestimate the timing......

I am still thinking if I should register my gal as it will be quite rushing for her to travel from NJC to newton after classes. And she may not have time for lunch. I am a working mum so will not be able to fetch and send her to her class.

Hi, anybody kids is in Alphabet Playhouse, after school student care centre at Dublin Road. Is it good? How is the grades of the child if he/she is in the centre? Are the centre’s teachers academic inclined? As for the meal provided in the school, is it passable or palatable? Any idea? or any recommendation for after school care centre around the school vincinity. I am very keen to enrol my kid in the centre and is trying to find out more. Thanks in advance for sharing.
