Do you mean your boy is also form NJC and will travel by bus to newton for his language class?

I read in the forums tyhat quite a number of dropouts from the 3rd language classes after attending for a few months as its quite demanding so rather skeptical about enrolling.

Yap alot of dropout from my girl class. As the timing tend to crash with their CCA.

There are many buses plying Dunearn Road from NJC to the next bus stop (outside TKK MRT station), surely would be able to get on one of them even if during peak hours.

My elder boy (just finished A levels this year) took 3rd language at Ghim Moh (year 2010). He completed the whole year with good grade, then dropped 3rd language before JH2 to focus on other programmes as well as his weak HMT.

It was an enjoyable learning process for him. He took French then.

I have asked around and was told not advisable to take 3rd Language so I guess we will just give it up.

Hi, not advisable due to crash on timing or overloaded homework from other subjects?

Due to clashes with other lessons/CCA and some said cannot cope as they are required to sit for CA and final exams as well as assignments. I was told they even need to write essays for 3rd language classes. Can anyone verified and shared if there are really many homeworks for 3rd langauage and is the compo writing difficult?

Having a keen interest would make the going easier.

Think at lower sec, the homework load still consider manageable to take 3rd lang. DD is moving to Sec2 Spanish and she finds her Spanish teacher very encouraging.
