Don't think so, unless they failed GP.[/quote]Ya. Unable to repeat unless failed GP.
I have heard that it is possible to retake even with passes. Not a strict \"no\" like our time. Maybe it's discretionary on the part of the JCs? But I have heard of some cases (kids of friends).slmkhoo\" post_id=\"1956578\" time=\"1577836425\" user_id=\"28674:

Unfortunately, CD players got no repeat mode (in their JC) since it’s considered a pass. They can only retake A as private candidates.
As C & D, I think should be able to get into a Uni, eg. SUSS & SIT and some not popular course like \"nursing\". Don't know why Nursing not popular leh. Personally, I feel is a good course to go to. -

My dd's GP tutor is at BT Timah. My girl felt he is good. My girl just has just finished her Alevel exam, so \"maybe\" he got slot?
My eldest girl failed GP for her promo exams!!! She has GP tuition so far, but she says that the tutor is not so good. Not so easy to find a GP teacher unlike PSLE or O. Can anyone recommend any GP tutor? -

I have a gal in njc and one in nygh . Basically why njc becos she doesn't want to go all girls school . Haha ! Why Gals always have petty issues .
She enjoyed all her 6 years there . She was given lots of opportunities. CCA , she can choose what she likes .In fact she doesn't feel as stress as my 2nd gal . Who say don't score well in NJC . She scored straight A for all her subjects in last A level. -

I understand how you feel. 6 years ago, my girl get into her dream IP school. Her PSLE t-score didn't meet her DSAed school. I am worried at that point of time, even have the thought of withdrawing her and put her into a neighbourhood school. But she is surviving well there for 6 years, taking her A level this year. Some of her schoolmates get in her school by PSLE but didn't do well and was retained.
While we rejoice in getting a CO from our preferred school, anyone having 2nd thoughts about accepting it since feeling from kid is that she probably didn’t do well in the Psle(meaning high chance by tscore she won’t meet the school’s COP), especially if it’s for the subject which she got an offer from the school via subject DSA?
How will it affect allocation of class if child did not meet the COP of the school?
My view. To study in IP school, the student must be independent, self-discipline and motivated. The IP teacher wouldn't be spoonfeeding them. The student needs to look for the teacher if they have any query/question related to the subjects. I believe if a student is not spoonfed with tuitions in the primary level and independent should be able to survive well in IP environment. -

less than 5 candidates turned up for STEAM domain.JJ1111\" post_id=\"1940134\" time=\"1570432643\" user_id=\"74135:
Huh so hard to get in for STEAM hor. 1000+ only 5 selected.
How about other categories?
Not sure is it NJC selected more than 5, but they did not turn up on Saturday (5 Oct) because they declined offer, accept some other Secondary schools' dsa offer instead (eg. RI / RGS dsa offer), if candidates have multiple offer or on wait-list from other schools -

If it is me I would hire a tutor to coach him on subjects which I myself can't teach.
If he his academically weaker I will not want to wait till he is struggling as it might be too late to do something to help him.
I will not set v high std for him but I will make sure he gets all the foundation right.
