my maid getting more n more lazy. she is on holiday mood already. She always eat snake, sms to her bf, play facebook and email. I am increasingly displeased with her. i want to sack her but my spouse keep on talking on behalf of her. How infuriating.

could it bcoz ur spouse worries he nid to help after sending off the maid? Husband normally will side the maid coz they r not the one who manage them.

This does makes sense. Anyway it is very difficult to find a good maid these days so I have to tolerate her behaviour.

    • RE: Maid or no maid

I think its very difficult for me to do without maid, my skin is sensitive and my hands will be dry and swollen easily with all the washing and cooking will heat my sensitve face. I rather work in office than do household chores.

    • RE: BGR for a 13 year old

The age of becoming an ah ma is getting younger and younger. Recently I just heard my relative who is in her mid 40s just becomes an ah ma. Another friend of mine also becomes an ah ma in her late 40s. They cannot retire early and have to work harder to provide for an additional member in the family.

I noticed the more you control your children, the more rebellious they are and more they will want to disappoint you. Just give them a warning and trust them that they will know how to self love and self discipline.

not forgeting once when a friend call me and i happen to be at home with them... my friend wanted me to help her and her sil buy mooncakes as well, so i purposely say loudly in their presence, \"u trsf the money to me first before i buy ok, and also ask ur sil to trsf me money.. she should pay for her own mooncake what...\"

the sils all pretend not to hear... fine!!

last yr each sil bought 1 box, this yr 2 of them bought 2 boxes each... no more next yr... and it coincides with my dd psle too... i'm going to say it out loud, i'm broke after paying for extra tuition and enrichment... and last 2 yrs u all also nv pay me back... so no mooncake this yr...

my dh will sure be mad at me... but i couldnt care more..

btw, i told my dh about the mooncake thingy yr after yr... he just pay me out of his pocket... like wat?? sugar daddy?? so i commented that he paid for his sisters but not for me la... and he gave me my share, thinking that paying for my share as well will settle the problem...
Mooncake does not costs a lot of money. The best brand costs the most $50 per box. If I can afford, I will buy for them to make them happy. The more happy they are, the less likely they will talk behind my back and this makes me happy in return. Mooncake festival is only once in a year. I viewed it as an opportunity for me to know how to 做人 i.e. perform my duty as a dutiful DIL. If they are happy, they will talk nice things about me too. It is a win-win situation for everyone.

My Mil acts very cool and kind in front of us. Behind that fake smile and gentle voice is a devil in disguise.

I can identify with that...whenever we visit them and hubby is out of earshot, her horns appear with that tone of hers  The moment my hubby walks into sight, those horns disappear and she smiles...it's very scary. How could she be like that ? My hubby would never believe me if I tell him.

My hubby makes it very clear to his mother from the first day of marriage that if she bullies me is the same as bullying him so she will try her best to be nice to me.

She knows of my biggest weaknesses and whenever she needs to tame her son, she will have to tame me first by displaying her superb culinary skills. Before eating, i will say to my hb \"Her personality really sucks\". After eating, I would change my attitude 360 degree \"Do you think we should let your mum stay together with us so i can have delicious dinner everyday?\" My hb will reply \"Your heart is so easily bought over by food, pls have more dignity\".

:rotflmao: pls check ingredients!!! Maybe got extra from temple. :rotflmao: taming DIL powder.

Haha...Absolutely, Your joke makes my day!

My mil is the queen of liars. 100 words she say, i can only listen to 10 words. The rest of her words, I have to take it with a pinch of salt.
