Anyone else experienced a steep dip in the results? My DD also failed her maths and chinese.

RE: All About Full-Time Maids
advise please - my neighbour has been scolding my maid directly for chatting with her maid.
our kitchen windows face each other, so inevitably, the maids will have some sort of interaction.
I’ve tried telling my neighbour nicely that as much as we tell our maid not to talk to each other, if she has any further issues/discoveries, she can let me know instead of shouting at my maid directly.
she went bersek and started scolding me too.
is there anyway to resolve this? sigh. -

you might want to check with MOM? did you sign any transfer letter?anyone encounter problem to employ old helper back, after change new?
we have just changed a new helper for a week+ and realised we miss the old one. Intention to change is we thought she want to go back home. :stupid:
This new one is completely new & has several request just within a few days! :slapshead: Initially everything agreed and now she asked me why we do not let her do this and that!
We intended to employ back the old one but she has already find herself a new employer! Though she is interested to come back, but there are some paperwork that the new employer has signed. she's still in sg and will not be going back home anymore.
We checked with her agent and she said cannot do anything already since paperwork done. But we suspect might be due to her wanting to earn the commission hence rejecting our request. She even suggest to help us find other transfer maid!
pay & pay again... :slapshead:
The WP has yet to cancel. anyone can advice if any other solution?
by the way, my new helper has yet to do her WP since the old one has yet to cancel.
Technically she's still your employee if the WP hasn't been cancelled. Better to trust MOM than the agent. Their commmission is at stake. -

If I can sort out her home leave request, I'll offer her $500 with 2 off days if I'm you. After all, that's the market rate even for fresh maids, so I'd rather save the trouble and just offer this to her. Renewal of wp should be rather easy using WP online?I have the same query- Did not read all the posts! But My Mynmaar Maid is due to finish contract in July. I want to renew her contract. Salary is $400 with one day off a month. couple of issues:
1. She wants 1 month home leave! I cannot give her 1 month. I am planning to send her in June as for 10 days in June we are also planning a holiday. our contract sayd 15 days.
2. she wants two days off a month. I am ok with that. But how do I adjust salary. What increment? We have not discussed yet. She wants $500. I told her I need to discuss with my husband.
3. Anyone has had any recent problem of mynmar maid returning to singapore? should i renew her permit through agency or can i do myself. This is my first maid so I am not so sure.
My maid is good with kids and she can handle my parents-in-law also with great patience so I want to badly keep her for another year! -

I'll just let her go if she has been of a good help to usHi, will like to hear your views.
My maid is finishing her contract end Mar but don't wish to continue with us. Under her contract, she's entitled to 1 day off per month. This month, she has requested another day off to go for interviews. Will you deduct a daily rate, say $15 or just let her go? My worry is without any penalty, she will ask to be off for every week in Mar too. On the other hand, I am also worried that she has attitude problem and mistreat my two children for the rest of her contract, although I have my MIL in the house during the day before I come home from work... -

Would you keep a stubborn overly experienced maid? She is good at cooking but not dilligent with kids. I have a tod who needs to empty his bladder every hour due to his past medical history, but she keeps forgetting to bring him to the loo. reminded her upteen times and got her a notebook to write down the timings so that she can remember the last timing but she didnt use it. fabricated timings at the end of day just to show the entries to me.

Now they have a water park, we may consider going but not the theme park. Feedbacks from friends were not positive, too kiddy, boring and very small coupled with hot weather. But soaking in water should be quite ok even in hot weather and my ds is quite excited about be able to fix the lego blocks in the pool when he saw it on tv commercial. Can someone feedback if there are really hugh lego blocks in the pool?
Yup there are lego blocks in the lazy pool, but they are made from softer material.
I find the tiles rather slippery though. Slipped and fell in their shower area. My hb also commented that the tiles near some of the adults rides are upslope, wet and slippery - very challenging. -

Hi - Is she good with kids? If yes, I'm keen to take her.Hi! Need some advice. If I am transferring my maid (not renewing contract), how many days does it usually take? Problem is my maid is going back home first and wants to come back again to work after 2 weeks. Have already booked her an air ticket home. She leaves in 4 weeks time. What is the fastest and most economical way to help her get a transfer?
Or can I renew her work permit, allow her to go back home, pay her own passage back to Spore then transfer to new employer? Is this feasible?
If I can help her find a new employer, can we avoid using an agency? Is the paperwork involved daunting?
Thanks!
