Anyone can share whAt is being tested during the AEP? What drawing material needed ?

      Thankyou

Firstly, you are aware that AEP is offered only from Sec 3 to JC2, right?

Secondly, the test differs every year but for me, it was an observational skills test(observe and draw your shoe) as well as a creativity test(draw your dream room).

As for the drawing material for the AEP classes, I'm not so sure myself as I have just been accepted this year and will start my AEP journey next year.

      Hope this helps!

that's was the test for my year too 😮 but everyone had to take it.
Do anyone know how the students are placed in different classes? Is it by balancing the sexes or CCAs or is there are some other criterion/criteria?

This question was asked by one parent during Orientation. This was the answer given:

      1. Based on the type of learner your DS/DD are - Visual, Auditory, Kinesthetic. All students were assessed for this and all parents received a report also.
      2. No congregation of same school students.
      3. Proper balance of boys and girls.

What wont be considered is PSLE score.

That's what's claimed but, the classes have already been decided before orientation šŸ™‚ as for same school students, it kinds of varies because there are quite a variety of schools too.
OIC. 🤷

\"helloeveryone\" - Are you an insider?
You mean can ask to move the A.Bio around? But A.Physics cannot right? MEP cannot move timing, right? You are in Year 4 or year 5?

i mean mep. cuz that's what i'm doing. I don't think you can move the A.Sciences around - i never tried anyways. true that even though i do miss some lessons but it's a choice i have to take if i choose the subjects right? I'm in year 3 now...

How come MEP can move around? The teachers' schedule won't be mixed up meh? My ds say cannot move MEP, leh.
for me i attend my jh3 classes with my seniors

      Hi,

If the child is not selected for A math in JH1, is it still possible to join in JH2 if teh child does well ? Do they reshuffle the class again in JH2 ? Thanks.

Yes, if the child does well by the end of the year, he/she will be given a choice to join A Math. They do not reshuffle the classes in JH2, but Math & Mother Tongue classes will be banded.

      LA classes are banded too.
Only the non-triple sciences students will be shuffled tgt.

My elder did not mention abt max 2 A.subj. He has A.Maths since mid of last year. He is sitting for the A.Phy test too.

just to clarify, it is not that students can only that a max. of 2 A.subjects but a max of 2 A.science subjects. this is because of the clash in timings for the three A.sciences. i chose not to that A.Phy last year has i wanted to that the bio one. as for electives - like mep (cause i take that) - you can ask for teacher to move your classes around šŸ™‚
