Thanks coolit. Told my friend about it, she has been asking me when popular sells since I cant get for her at TAS itself.
Hi cel-tang,
Liza Tan books have been around for quite a long time. They are like basics to writing, good to have. The compos in TAS’s creative writing books are more advanced kind, children write with flair. Good to have to bring child up to another level. So it depends on the needs of your child. I have both Liza Tan’s books and TAS’s books.
Liza Tan is the founder of Mexxi something, not too sure. It is a creative writing centre at Jurong.

Anyone knows if the TAS spelling book can be bought at Popular and has anyone seen vol 2 of creative writing book out at Popular? -
RE: BOOK Fairs
I got some Ammiel Wan assessment books for Maths also. For TAS cw book it is going for same price as the vocabulary book, both $12. Spelling book is $4. When I went yesterday at about 4 plus, the queue was not too bad too. Waited about 15 mins and could go.

I am looking for The Three Investigator by Alfred Hitchcock... anyone has any idea ? Did try out Bras Basah but couldn't get any. Even try to get ebook version but also no luck too :<
I remember coming across this series a long time ago. Most bookstores do not carry them anymore. Amazon might have this series. -
RE: Kids that don't like to eat Veggies
Yes mine too, I was thinking that worse come to worst, let them drink fruit juice everyday. That is the only way, some vitamin C will go in.

I am also having a headache from getting my youngest to eat veggies. Even peas and carrots are a no-no.

RE: Comparing English Enrichment Programmes
Agree with hquek and quirkymum about TAS. I just joined not too longer ago and there is not much homework which I also like, as every week my kid will be learning something new and not rushing to go through past homework and the teacher can clearly explained to me what was my child’s weakness or strength and explain certain techniques being taught.

Hi leeven,
I agree with you if you want more worksheets then go to MS (I have experienced both for Eng, Sci), They dont explain or teach. Now I have moved my DS to TLL for English. He really loves it . no more complaints to go tuition
How long was your child at MS? I was thinking of trying out their science prog.
Are the teachers at MS all teaching in the same way or is it a problem with maybe one particular teacher you encountered? I did hear from a friend that their sci prog is not too bad. -
