Anyone been to Bandung recently? Please feedback, thanks

I booked 5D4N to Bandung this december .

Planning to bring kids to bandung trans studio (indoor theme park)

Came across this.

http://explorebandung.blogspot.sg/p/kids-activities.html

Anyway plan to rent a car to visit some crator and perhaps some of the above.

Hi Jeparent,

hows yr Bandung trip? can share on hotel, car rental info?
does yr kids like it?

Thanks!
I signed up a 3D2N package + 2N extension. Our hotel is Luxton Hotel along Jalan Dago, but not walking distance to the factory outlets. The package include a day tour to Tengkuban Perahu , Ciator Hot Spring , and some factory outlets.

The 3rd day we rented a car from http://www.muliarental.com/ , to visit kawah Putih - beautiful crator lake
strawberry farm - not \"professionally\" run but the kids still enjoy the picking process
A deer farm (within a resort) - the resort is very run down with only a few deers. Not so worth it.
The rest of the day we went to more factory outlets and kartikasari (famous for their brownies and cookies).

4th day, we spent the whole day at Bandung Transtudio. We went there by bluebird taxi. The kids enjoy most here. Indoor Theme Park with lots of rides. There is also mini science center here.

It would be good if someone in your group can speak Malay , as not many people here can speak English well.

• RE: Fly Cruise

I tried FnE . I booked air tickets to venice (transit Dubai) , and a 7N Eastern Mediterranean Cruise by MSC. I make my way on my own to the departure port at Venice.

The fly-cruise to fiji would be nice

• RE: Travel: Australia - Perth

Yes pls, tks!

Oh I c, didn’t know the parking is free at all these places cos I heard city
parking is really exp.
Is driving easy in Perth?
And ya, how did u get to airport on your way back? By cab?
Need some advice here, my flights are all midnight flight at 1am…don’t think
it’s safe if I drive at that hour right? That’s why we forego the idea of
renting a car. And we have to check out at 1030am, hmm…what can we do? Leave the luggages at the hotel and go shopping ard till 9pm then take a cab to airport for departure? It’s a bit of a headache here…
I visited Perth in 2008. Within the city, there are car park charges, so u would need to plan when to rent or return the car. Parking is usually free on the outskirts. If u stay at goodearth , Avis and thrifty are walking distance away. I only picked up and returned my rental car in city , first day i only visited the city area. Second day we joined day tour to caversham wildlife park and pinnacles. 3rd day , i picked up the car to visit fremantle and the King’s park. 4th day i drove south to Albany and then come back via the pemberton, margaret river river route (with stayover at different places)…Avis and thrifty rates are slightly more ex but should be more "reliable".

To me, driving in Perth is easier than Malaysia. Traffic may be faster on highways, but it is still generally safe.

I think my last day flight is around 6-7pm. You timed your car return such that it do not incur an extra day. I returned early around 9 am, checked out hotel at 1130hr and left our luggage at hotel. We shopped in city and
return to hotel and took a cab to airport. I think it should cost around $50 SGD.

Booked a cruise to Redang for June during Natas Fair. The deal is good (in my opinion). Paid $1700+ for 2A and 2C for balcony class.

Still finding out more information about Redang, intend to do F&E; wondering which part is a good place for the children to feed the fishes?

I went to Redang but not with cruise, but i think the cruise brings the guests to Laguna Resort. If you check the top most picture on http://www.redang.org/resorts.htm , there is this Redang Lagoon and Redang Bay. You just walk from the Laguna Beach to the beach here.... You can find a lot of fishes here for feeding with water at waist level.

Anyone can advise if it's necessary to take the Laguna 3D/2N package or just the room only? Is their buffet lunch and dinner worth it?

Thanks

Hello ,

I stayed at Laguna last Sept. I remember the price for fullboard and the room only package do not differ much. The buffet is not fantastic but is good enough to fill your stomach. There isn't much choice for alacarte either. You may go to some other surrounding resort to order some dishes, but i remember the menu do not have much variety. You might save some money, but if the price do not differ much, i suggest just take the fullboard package.

regards

Hello,

have not been driving to Malaysia for some time. Wish to check if we can still pay by cash (instead of Touch n Go) for the woodlands Malaysia checkpoint and the road tolls.

thanks

regards

Your kid in P2?
I refrain from teaching my P1 kid too many Maths theory now... In case the school teach differently now.
I think must be \"on the ball\" to reinforce what was taught in sch.
:slapshead:
Yes P2, can forget about advance teaching the kids since even the textbook method is not being used...
I think it is good to open to different methods. Eg. Some children cannot visualize the \"make ten\" and \"split ten and ones\". My daughter can only do the normal addition/substraction (they called it inchworm) . I try to teach the so called grasshopper method :), but she cannot get it and often cannot fill in the blanks after the \"split of numbers\".
