      SpartanMum:
Reading these latest posts and looking at my son just confirms my belief that it's no fun being an upper primary kid in SG

Then again, as a parent I do have the choice to stop all the tuition and settle for less...
Hi SpartanMum, definitely worth trying to stop all tuition only if you have some ideas or plans on how to support your kid after that...

if the tuition is seen as fun for the kids (and some children love to attend certain classes because the learning is seen as Fun), stopping that particular tuition class may not be a good move...

so i think is very subjective lah...case by case basis...it really depends on the child and his experience of having tuition...

I feel as a parent, it is good to teach our DC skills on how to manage all these loads and stress from schools.

Inevitably, it is how they manage their inner talk and thoughts that determine how they respond to these stresses and how they cope with all the anxiety and stresses that come along.

I know some kids with high stress loads but they are enjoying it because of healthy coping skills...and most importantly, supportive parents such as our KSP parents here, who always lend a listening ear to their DC 😃

      My 2 cents,
      John

      Hey KSP,

Some schools are having their CA1 in end of February while others are having it in March. When is your child's CA1?

mine is having in early March. So stressed that I am so teary 😢 recently, but not in front of my family. Gets emo :siao: just by reading any article when I am alone in the morning. Then feels better after I cry. So far, for the past week already.

      Feeling the jitters :gloomy:

we are always here for u...just drop a note or chit chat here lor 😃

saw many post that school had done away with CA. my boy will be having his CA1 end of February..

while most dislike having CA and welcome having less stress without the CA, sometimes CA can be like indicators for students' grades...so i guess is always how we use it for...however for children who have always been consistent, CA is just a platform to gauge how well they do, how much they know or what else they don't know so that they can learn it and perform better next time. :rahrah:
