I don’t look forward to kids leaving the nest too I Guess most will feel the same…
Is it that the men don’t think like us? Just curious
Father would prefer the kids to grow up faster and leave the nest ?
I always say I want my babies back

Hi phtthp
hi joyymum, how u make the chicken feet soft ? u buy frozen chicken feet or non-frozen ?
I don’t buy chicken feet from supermarket.
I try to buy fresh meat and chicken from wet market. Lucky the usual stall which I bought from auto chop away the chicken feet nails for me otherwise I won’t buy
Add the chicken feet together with the pork ribs to boil with lotus root or radish (whichever u prefer). Few hours and the feet will be soft. I use slow cooker so you don’t have to watch the fire over the stove.
Add red dates, dry scallops & pork ribs the soup will be very tasty. No salt needed. Mine is always sweet and flavourful and when added home made meatball will be even nicer.
For me, I always blanch the pork ribs and chicken feet before I start cooking the soup... not sure about others -

Whenever I boil soup the children sure very happy and DH too... all fighting to finish the last drop. Very happy that they like my cooking. Yes, sometimes if I remember to buy chicken feet from wet market, I will add it too nice!
Now DH and myself trying to reduce our intake of rice. I will also add brown rice with white rice when cooking. So far so good... -

RE: Me Time!
Only my DS eats a lot in the family. DH lost a lot of weight by exercising in the gym 3 times a week till his figure now looks like a model given that he is tall and slim now. Sometimes I will admire him from far Wah especially he wears slim cut jeans and polo...stress to stand beside him
DS simply ignore my advice to cut down on rice but I can understand at his age he is growing cannot stop him but he is going to be overweight soon. My cooking skills improved a lot after following many YouTube recipes and food bloggers. I have a few signature dishes which I am proud of it myself LOL
DD is small eater too but still gives face la finishes everything if I cook. I only cook 3 times a week ha ha and I don’t cook on weekends. My weekend starts from Thursday all the way to Sunday :rotflmao: -
