I think her foul temper is something some parents who know her will agree that she has one.

My lesson learnt is never send your kid to a teacher with a foul temper. Because you never know when she will erupt on your child and then it's good luck to you and your child.

She may have the BEST oral, composition and vocab materials. But no thanks and there are BETTER teachers elsewhere.

Oh my… i just chanced on this thread. NO MAID IS BLISS!!! I’d rather put up with all the inconveniences than to have maids ever again!


Anyway, I used to cook but decided I’d rather spend more quality time with my family than to waste time in the kitchen cooking and washing. The money saved from hiring a maid can be used to have a sumptuous meal outside with the family.

English is a tough subject to master. My son is in P6 this year. A good friend recommended this lady at the beginning of this year. This tutor is very strict but it's ok to me bcos son needs that discipline (and someone to be afraid of :evil: )


This tutor teaches mainly P6 students...she brings kids on outings to view the titanic display, airport and most recently, a restaurant so as to get students to have a feel in case they are given such a scenery during the orals.

It's amazing and truly incredulous :yikes: that a tutor brings kids out...never have I heard that before. My daughter in P2 wanted to go along. I am confident this lady will help me son get good results for his English...but most importantly, she has boosted his confidence.
I just saw her link...her name is Anne Chin. Am relieved to park my son there.

I wouldn't recommend her at all. Too many bad experiences. Old timers on ksp probably know of her.

My child has attended her tuition before. My child mentioned that she rushes them and if there is no time, she simply gives them the answer. I think during 1 lesson, she hears countless times of \"quickly\" in Chinese. My child does not find it good. Thus I had stopped the tuition.

I thought it is important that we share our sincere comments. Anyway, the students who attend the tuition would be the best judge themselves.

I would just like to raise this observation that I saw, at least 5 recent posts that spoke highly of the tuition were from user accounts created on the same day that the post of praises were typed in - does that sound a bell? The posts of those that did not sing praises to the tuition are long time uses of this website - rings another bell!

I share the SAME view here too! You sound more genuine, like what my child had fedback to me that she kept on rushing her students! And then just give answers. I did question my child… \"did she look through your answers and explain how you should answer them ? Is your answer acceptable ? If not, then how should you answer them ?\" My child said 'no. no time\". Sad right ?

Ever before there was a naughty boy in class who did something naughty. I can't remember, i think my child told me he drew on her wall or something. She was so angry she scolded him for quite some time during class. That affected the whole lesson. Anyway, this is another downside of group tuition.

Then my child fedback to me too that ever before there were different levels in her class like P5 and P6. I don't know how effective was it anyway….

I second your observations too. So strange those with positive reviews. Even got student writing at lengths to justify. I wonder how coincident.

I’m pulling my child out of her class. Sometimes there are so many students in her class and some of them are very disruptive and distracting.

She goes through her materials so fast, my child can’t catch up and is so weak in chinese. I tried to go 1-1 but her fees are SOOOO EXPENSIVE. I think she cater to rich kids whose parents are willing to pay so much!

My child has some special needs like sometimes need to go through textbook and the words and meanings, composition etc, but that’s all the time she had. It’s very difficult to get her to help out in these other areas unless you go 1 on 1.

For me, I am getting a tutor to do 1-1 to teach my child. Come to my house lagi better so I don’t have to drive so far to her place. Save time too. Her price is so expensive even for group tuition can cover for my home tutor 1-1. Might as well go Berries or TIAN Hsia near my house for group tuition.

My child ever before told me that this tutor took a picture of a student in her class to do her advertisement. She had also asked me to write good testimonials for her before but I declined.

In my opinion, there’s no need to disclose a child’s name unlike those who willingly did for these reasons:

# Did she ask these parents of her A*students / past students to do a favor to post on this forum ? If yes, then perhaps they returned the favor by also divulging their kid’s names for the sake of authenticity? But i suppose parents wouldn’t mind if their kids are doing well.
# I myself would not want to disclose my child’s name. Why should i trade my child’s privacy ? Parents are proud their kids did well. What about my child who is not doing well ? Do I still want to advertise to tell the world my child is not doing well ?
# These are based on my observations and my sincere account to feedback. I am glad there is at least 1 other parent feeling the same way and sharing the SAME feedback from their kids. I somehow got a feeling that your posts sounds like she probably activated you to write something. But then, there are also many other good tutors around, not just her 1 good teacher. We are always free to try and get a teacher who suits the needs of our kids.
