    • RE: PSLE Parents Burnt Books - Do You Agree?

Totally disagree with this! What kind of values are the parents trying to inculcate in their children? Disgusted with the parents.

Omg! Ds1 is running a high fever. Not sure if he can take the paper tomorrow. Anyone can advise me what happen if he misses the paper? Just call moe, as usual no proper advice just say call the sch. When I call sch, sch also cannot advise on how results going to be computed, say depend on moe. Any parent who experienced this before can advise?

Not sure if this helps. I know of a case where the student did not finish paper as he was unwell (puked mid way of paper), MOE took into consideration his SA and prelim scores against his peers as well as his PSLE scores against his peers (for that particular paper) and did some minor adjustments to the T score. Do ask the school to get back to you regarding the options. You still have time now to ask them to check with MOE. In any case, I pray that he'll recover by tonight. Take care!

Hi I’d like to find out more from those whose daughters had a CO from both RGS and NYGH, what guided your/ DD’s choice? and are you/ DD still happy with the choice after being in the school? Thanks, appreciate your advice.

    • RE: Better and Fairer Scheduling for PSLE 2013 Oral Exams?

Both S1 and S2 have their fair share of advantages and disadvantages. Let's look at the positive side of each and it'll make our life a happier one. I kept reminding myself that this is only one of the many 'examinations' that my child will be taking throughout her life. I'd rather work towards making this a pleasant one for my child and me (regardless the results). In reality, there's no such a thing as a perfect examination, a perfect job, a perfect spouse etc... our children have learn to make the best of every situation (adopting a positive outlook despite tough or difficult situations).

Buds: I'm also heading for a nice lunch with my child after the exams 🙂

Wow I can sense the high level of excitement. I am new in this thread so I am asking a silly qtn. How did your dd/ds get into dsa? From his/her own school recommendation to parents during p6? Is there another thread on dsa admission n process?

      Appreciate your reply.

Thanks Wushixiancn for the encouraging words......appreciate it.

I hope you are right, but others here have said that RGS DSA CCA Sports interviews begun last week. Should have ended or ending soon is my guess. No interview call-up by this time not a good sign.....

All the best to your DS....
Regardless the results of the DSA application, it's time to set that aside and focus on the upcoming PSLE Oral. Jia you!!!

      Hi DSA Parents

My query is with regards to RGS DSA CCA/Sports.
My DD applied under RGS DSA CCA/Sports but have yet to receive any reply from RGS. I can't seem to get an answer from RGS as they say it is \"on-going\".

      1. Is the RGS DSA CCA/Sports interviews all over?

      2. Any parents here have sent their DDs for DSA CCA/Sports interviews?

I am still awaiting an email from RGS. Hiaz.

      Thanks DSA Parents

      Repost again
There were DSA interviews for mainstream academic and sports conducted in the last week of July but I am not sure if they have all been completed. Not sure if this helps.

      Dear justcoping

May I know whether the interviews that RGS is conducting presently is for GEP students or the mainstreamers selected after the half day academic selection test?

      Thank you.
I believe it is for mainstreamers (academic and sports).
