Based on 2008 records under phase 2c , they are
1. West Grove Primary -355 candidates compete for 118 vacancies
2. Jurong West Primary -218 candidates compete for 115 vacancies
3. Rulang Primary 154 candidates compete for 81 vancancies.

just wondering how come Rulang candidates so lil onli? & oso the vacancies left is onli 81 :shock: meaning Phase 2A & 2B already wiped out most of the slots.. :!:

I stay quite near JW but chances of getting in thru Phase 2C is like super slim therefore my tots are if my ger cannot get into JW den its for sure we need school bus arranged for her therefore i mite as well try for Rulang thru old student connections from my hubby.. sounds ok?

I stay JE area and my boy in JE 2nd less popular school.
So you want to register your girl to JW no. 3rd popular school based on no. of unsuccessful candidates under phase 2c for the last 2 years? I suggest that you may consider JE no. 1 popular school if you stay the area near to east side of JW because it is within 1 km distance & if within 2km (under balloting),the chances will also be higher. That is what some other smart parents did last year and hence the reason why i was not successful in registering my son for the JE no.1 popular school! Ha Ha Ha!

haiz.. yeah tats the employer's fate if we do get a MAID like tat.. geesh.. but in actual fact after learning the lesson thru the hard way, i gathered getting a maid is really based on luck.. how often or not we get to know tat the biodata might not be accurate.. so now whenever my frens or colls ask me in ways to 'locate' a good maid thru biodatas.. my answer to them is count ur lady luck & oso if not good den jus change.. so simple.. dun keep a maid which does not help u but add on to ur woes

Is the Phonics class the every sat one which ur girl used to attend?

Yes I used to send her there every Sat afternoon.

I have not heard of Edufarm.

Have you tried teaching your girl phonics yourself ? You can try the following free websites :

http://www.starfall.com

or use the Leapfrog DVDs.

Remember to also start a reading scheme with your girl, phonics alone is not sufficient

Lucky me. My girl got into Rulang thru balloting Phase 2C.

Congrats!! Im aiming for my ger to go Rulang too but tat wil be a few yrs later.. :lol: so u went thru the balloting exercise.. where u among the first few lucky ones to be picked? how do u find the school so far?
