Comment from DS. Maths P1 tricky, P2 ok with some tough questions. Overall a bit tougher than 2016's cos of P1. Science P1 tricky, spent more than time than usual, P2 not easy either, overall tougher than 2016's. Chinese P2 tough compre, tougher than 2016's. Eng tougher than 2016's. :xedfingers:

My DS shared the same comment too. To him, Maths and Science is manageable except for more tricky questions as compared to previous years PSLE. He even told me that previous years PSLE questions are easy but theirs seem different. He did not even come out telling me that any of the papers are easy probably except composition???

technically, if she wants to use the ribbons for a party, she cannot be connecting multiple leftover ribbons into the last 110cm strip... so if applied to real life, we will normally buy 10 rolls of the ribbon to get full strips.


however, if a child feels he is able to save $ and connect leftovers to form last ribbon, his mentality is also not exactly wrong... just that it will be ugly. question to the child - will he/ she like that last ribbon connected like that? if hanging ribbons, sure ugly. if ribbons to be taped to something, then sounds feasible to keep connecting... unless we can see the exact question phrasing, we won't be 100% sure... if the question posed was asking for 110cm FULL ribbon strips.

Totally agreed... my DS's almost entire class got this question wrong. There is a so-called Maths expert in his class (always scoring 100 for maths) also got it wrong... hope there will be moderation!
