2027 to enter P1, hence P1 registration for my girl is 2026, is it 2025 I should register for Parent Volunteer?

Hi all, seeking advice

Daughter born on 1st Jan 2021, by default will enter P1 when she’s 6yrs old in 2027. She’s in N2 this year. Younger son will be born in Oct 2024.

initial plan to aim for St Nic for daughter, before younger son come into the picture. So now plan to aim for Ai Tong, hoping both children can get in.

But only realized in early Jul 2024 that to be eligible for Hokkien Huay Kuan Phase 2B recommendation for Year of Registration 2026, must be of min 2 consecutive years of membership by 30 June of the year of registration. Hence I have missed the deadline on 30 Jun 2024 to become member.

If I aim for Ai Tong, i can only bet on Phase 2C. If daughter lucky to get in, also secure slot for younger son.

Or should I still aim for St Nic and try for Phase 2B, cant get it then decide St Nic or Ai Tong for Phase 2C. If get in, also headache for younger son future P1 registration n gotta to fetch to 2 diff sch everyday.

My place is within 1km of both St Nic and Ai Tong

understand the plus point for St Nic is to have the chance to go Sec Sch directly. But not sure about Ai Tong plus point as there’s no affiliation.

What would you do if you are in my shoe??

Just to clarify if unable to secure in 2B, can apply for 2C again for balloting?
