My eldest was in DLS, now in Sec 3 SST. School is good and teachers are very helpful. We had no problems at all. Tbh we were looking at more than just academics. And so put our second girl there too.

Hubby drops her in the morning by car. Last year she was in student care until we picked her up after work. Wanted to bring her home earlier this year. So far, no luck with transport 😞
Thanks for the reply, mummyscopio. I am just wondering how many within this group stays in yishun/woodlands. Maybe can collate the numbers and then maybe speak to a bus company to provide such service to and from DLS.

Did you manage to find a school bus service from sch to Yishun? I tried both schoolber and grabshuttle, think we need to make up the numbers.

Hi...are you staying at Yishun? I am along yishun avenue 1 and contemplating whether i shoukd register my son in 2019 for DLS. (P1 in 2020). But transportation is my main worry. How many are needed to make a schoolber or grabshuttle if you dont mind sharing?
I am also along Yishun Ave 1 :rahrah: My daughter is in P2 next year. I'm not sure about schoolber but grabshuttle has private cars so I think even minimum of 4 is enough. However, haven't yet received a response from them meaning not enough to start a route. :frustrated:

I actually know quite a few stays in Woodlands... but I think not a lot will need sch bus... many are traveling on public cos for school bus, morning too early... days that they have afternoon activities there's no bus to send them in the evening... it's Super costly and not worth...
      so many choice public

Mummyscorpio is right. We stayed in Woodlands originally, my eldest took the school bus. The bus pick up time was 5.50 or thereabouts, if I remember correctly. Bus would drop the first batch from Woodlands and do another round in CCK. Really too early for my girl :snooze: Ended up stopping it after a year and dropping off ourselves.

She will be in P1 in Yr 2019. Oh you are staying in Yishun as well? I am actually an OB of DLS, so that is why most likely we will try for Phase 2A. However, a concern shared by my wife is the distance from home to school. Whether will it be a toll on my daughter? Hope to be able to hear more from you especially when your eldest girl is also in DLS.

We were planning to send the youngest to student care now at least for the first 2 and a half years. My eldest was picked up from school until last term of P3 and she started taking the train back on her own. Not too bad, walking distance to Yew Tee MRT and one train ride home. Still depends on the child though, I am hoping my youngest is able to do the same at that time.

Alternatively, we are considering Schoolber. :scratchhead:

      Hi there,

It had been awhile since I last left a message here. Any parents whose kids are in DLS knows if there is school bus service from the SC to Yishun? :thankyou:
There isn't as far as I know 🤷 . I am also looking for bus to Yishun. Is your child in P1 next year?

Hi anyone has reviews on Little Tree House in Sembawang?

      Thanks
Both my girls have attended LTH @ Sembawang. The school is good and clean, teachers are caring and friendly, class size is not too big. Blessedly, both my girls had the same teacher during their time there.

      Hi Parents,

If your child is currently in DLS, can you share your opinion of DLS school? How's the Principal, Teachers, school attitude towards academic achievements, whether children enjoy their school life in DLS, etc. I saw in earlier posts saying the school academic performance has slided, with new Principal, inexperienced Teachers, etc.

My husband is an OB, so we are eligible for Phase 2A. However we are not staying within CCK vicinity. The schools around my place are HOT schools and I am unfortunately within 1-2km, with NO chance to even ballot in Phase 2C. Even the normal school is outside 1km.

We are prepared to move to within 1 km whichever school we have identified, even if it is DLS. So here I would like to ask dear parents, how is DLS school? Thanks in advance!
Depends on what you're looking for in a primary school. My eldest girl went to DLSS, she graduated in 2016 and is now at SST. She enjoyed studying there - school, teachers, friends, work, etc. Teachers were friendly and kept us updated on her progress. My hubby and I like the morals taught by the school, education was secondary for us. But we did not find the education lacking for anything either :salute: My girl achieved a good PSLE score which she set herself to achieve - another plus.

My youngest will be starting at DLSS next year and for her, it will be another journey though we know what to expect now :imcool: Looking forward to it!

Unfortunately, I don’t know either. I picked the one in the school for the sake of safety and convenience.
