How old is your son? Does he has other area of improvement besides compo? Can you share the LP English program and the caliber of teachers ? I heard students will have more discussion in class, sometimes global affair issue. Thanks.

My son is in p4. I can't compare the rest of the areas (compre, close passage etc) because his marks more or less remain the same.

But I definitely do see an improvement in his composition writing. He is able to connect, inject and finish off the composition with more ease and I see lesser grammatical errors and new words used in his composition now and then.

I compared his p3 first and second half of the year compositions and I see the difference in his writing style.

Current affairs wise, last year if I remember it right, my son did tell me the teacher did briefly talk about some current affairs but it is like do you know what happen (disaster) in this country, climate warming and pollution etc. just a very brief discussion.

Teacher wise, can't help you cos he only has 2 teachers for last n this year. So far no complaint.

But I see some teachers (I think for the younger ones) will brief the parents after each lesson. The teacher will gather all the parents (those waiting outside school to pick the kid up) and tell them what they did in class and what the kids are to prepare for next lesson and revision).
