Superbugs:
Nanyang SA2 P2 Q16

Yili, Lynn and Devi went shopping. Yili spent 0.25 of the total amount Lynn and Devi spent, while Devi spent 4/11 of the total amount Yili and Lynn spent. Lynn spent $37.50 more than Yili. If Lynn had $90 before she went shopping, what fraction of her money did she spend? Express your answer in its simplest form.
Pls help
Yili:Lynn+Devi=1:4=3:12=15 units
Devi:Yili+Lynn=4:11=15 units
Lynn spend = 12units - 4 units=8 units
Yili:Lynn:Devi=3:8:4
Since Lynn spent $37.50 more than Yili,
5 units=$37.50
1 unit= $7.50
Amount of money Lynn spent= 8units*$7.50=$60
Fraction of money Lynn spent= 60/90=2/3

Hi Ridicully,

Can you help to explain when do we use a or an? For example, why is it a electrician and not an electrician? and an election and not a election?

• RE: Importance of PSLE

What is the significance of it?

Well, employers of Singapore-based companies are particularly focussed on PSLE, GCE ā€˜O’ and ā€˜A’ levels score for recruitment, so a high PSLE T-score could get you a better job next time.

Employers in Singapore do not look at PSLE scores.
I think the full score 300 system started during my psle year 1974 coz those students 1 yr before me had 400 plus points. Still remember that I dun have a basis to compare whether my score of 260 plus was ok then.

I am very sure T-score started in 1973 as I have two sisters born in 1972 & 1973. The one born in 1972 scored 390 and the other scored 267.

I think you mean the T-score started for the batch who took their PSLE in 1985. That is, t-score was implemented in 1985 not 1973.
Yes the T-score of max 300 was implemented in 1985. Before was max 400+.My DH who took PSLE in 1980 did not even have a score.
