Hello, about Ntu early admission, what is the criteria to be selected by Hwa Chong? Is it based on prelim results only? or portfolio also considered? Around how many students get the offer? when do they receive the email?

Hello, I am currently a sec 1 student and i want to ask the opinions of parents here. I hate the way my parents are controlling my life. Every day when I reach home, I am forced inside my study room to complete a whole list of homework from assessment books that my parents have assigned for me. My phone is placed outside in the living room and obviously after long hours of studying, I need to have a break right? But I’m not even allowed to leave the room to check my phone for a few minutes. Even when I just open my door, my parents would be like "进去 lah", "go in and concentrate", "why did you come out again"… I really cannot take it anymore. Do they think I am some kind of robot??? Studying up to 10 hours a day, which is even more than some ppl in secondary school or JC!!! I am soooo frustrated, why do I have to live like this!!! Parents here, do you do this to your children too??? Can someone talk some sense into them i feel like dying every day

Anyone know is the group given by the school for orientation days their allocated class?

Many years ago, orientation group was not the class.
But in recent years, orientation group was the class.
So my point is, you wont know how they would like to do it for 2021.
Does it matter?

OP is just asking, maybe wants to know if their daughter would have friends she knows in her class/reporting grp. Is there a need to be rude?
