Is there any good centre recommended for SMO training?
Saw this. But I think it is for SMO Junior Rd 1 training only.

      Hi,

If your son wants ( as a parent yourself are keen for him ) to pursue a career in STEM (Science Technology Engineering Mathematics) , I would advise strongly advise him to choose NUSH. If given the opportunity, just take it.

I think you need not be too concern that he is from Express (not GEP) and a non-olympiad winner, or how he will perform thru the 6 years or how he will compare to other NUSH student. You should trust the school selection process and the school assessment of your kid suitability for the programme. NUSH is considered a \"GEP\" programme.

NUSH is really an amazing High School of Math & Science that is quite unparalleled in curriculum and provide great exposure and flexibility in STEM training. The advantage of No \"O\"/\"A\" level national examination allow student to focus on learning and applying STEM research at early age long before university. Of course, NUSH also allows a holistic education for the child to pursue other options in career.

Many alumni went to top US/UK for their undergrad as well as Graduate university. To give you an indication of the recognition of NUSH Diploma, some 40% of Ox(ford /Cam)bridge yearly acceptance in Singapore are from NUSH applicants.

NUSH may only be 16 years in history but Increasingly, many of our top alumni are also pursuing PhD in STEM in US and UK.

My DD is from cohort that graduated in 2016. Like some of alumni/peers, she is doing her PhD in US.

      Hope, it help.
Just curious, may I know where your DD did her undergrad, and where is she doing her PhD now and what course? Is she planning to do academia? If it is too sensitive to reveal, it is ok. Thank you.

Hi, my dd has the same 260 with HMT distinction, she also would like to choose RGS, BUT the COP 2020 is 261, she is concerned if she would waste her first choice. Other choice of school are NYGH, St Nicholas Girls. Any advise for her?
Can I check if your DD is eligible for ESIS? Thanks.

My son scored 261, and we were struggling between RI (cos it’s nearer to our house) and ACS(I) IB (cos his form teacher commented my son is more suited to IB).
Can I check if your son is eligible for ESIS? Thanks.

When one claims something, it should be backed up with evidence. Else it is hearsay or giving some sweeping statements, and may mislead many readers. I know many parents are trying to be helpful here, but it doesn’t take much time to do some quick verification before posting untruths (though unintended).

That is why, over at MOELC (Bishan), learn 3rd language is free, because only the Top 10% can qualify.
What makes you think that the reason that learning 3rd language at MOELC is free, is because only top 10% can qualify?
