RE: All About Montessori
Hi barneybaby,
The kids look happy… very chatty, which is not typical of montessori schools. I like the vibrancy. But at the same time, I am worried about how well the kids will be prepared for local school system. They did mention that they will prepare kids for both international and local schools. I also can’t find much review on this school from other parents.
The owner/principal (a Japanese lady) mentioned that most of their teachers are foreigners graduated from overseas. I think I will pay them a visit when they finally move to Shriro House.
My kids are going K1 next year. -
RE: All About Montessori
Hi barneybaby,
I went down to RELC today but unfortunately, they are closed. Then I went to check out Arts Junior Montessori at Radin Mas Community Club. The owner is a Japanese, and the kids there are mostly Japanese as far as I can see. So, I’m not so sure how well the kids will be prepared. However, the plus point is that they will be moving to Shriro House, which is along Hoy Fatt Road. They will have a indoor playground which looks really quite fun. Haha… you may want to check it out if you stay around that area. They will be moving in a month’s time… so I think i’ll visit them then. -
RE: All About Montessori
Hi dvr, terrible experience there for summer monte! So unprofessional. Not keen in engaging parents at all. I won’t put my kids in a place where I can’t communicate with the principal at all. Such yucky behavior.

RE: All About Montessori
Hi Barneybaby,
I can’t decide yet. I read many good reviews of bloomberry but my issue with them is that they don’t have even have any partitions between classes. It’s fine now becos the enrollment is still small but I’m worried when it’s full strength, it’ll be quite noisy and not very conducive for learning. The principal gave me very good vibes though. And the fees is reasonable.
Innate montessori is really quite inconvenient in terms of location. Sigh… My kids are already in a childcare but they have very high turnover which is quite upsetting. So, now can’t decide if I should change them. -
RE: All About Montessori
Hi dvr, yes, you’re right…that’s the spirit of montessori. but it still feels odd not having individual classrooms. Maybe i’m too traditional. but i thought it’s nice if kids can always put things up, e.g. the crafts they make, drawings, etc… in their own classrooms.
hi barneybaby, Innate is very inconvenient in terms of location. MMI Biopolis still looks quite empty. Plus, they are increasing their fees next year. I’m staying near your area too and also trying to find montessori schools for my kids. mostly no vacancies around our area. Did you try Seedlings at Dawson? MMI at Bukit Merah not interested to even take down my name for waitlist cos they already have a very long waiting list.
