What \"ABRSM grade\" are these pieces?

No 1 and no 2 are Dip ABRSM/ATCL pieces / level
No 3 is grade piece (from the book)

      Per MOE's website (https://www.moe.gov.sg/secondary/dsa/preferences😞

Students who have received offers through DSA-Sec should submit their preferred choice of schools to us from 9am on Monday, 31 October 2022 to 3pm on Friday, 4 November 2022.

You can submit your child's preferences:

      Through the DSA-Sec Portal.
      Contact your child's primary school.

It seems that either approach is acceptable but I would prefer to do so via the DSA-Sec Portal when it opens up on 31 October 2022. Since this was the avenue used to submit DSA applications in the first place, it makes sense (at least to me) to follow this approach in making the school selection.
Oh got it, thank you so much!

May I know how to indicate DSA school preference? Received different info - by login to the DSA-Sec Portal or by School Preference Form from MOE through primary school. Is it both also can?

Ah yes, yours training for Dip. So yes, the techniques would require better bow. Not so much the violin.
Thank you for your thoughts, am excited to go try some violins and bows!

As I have read further - A good player can still sound good on a poor setup but the effort required is so much more than a good setup instrument πŸ™‚ And a good instrument can help a mediocre player to grow and become a better player!

Newly made violins are usually easier to play vs an antique one.
About my easier to play question - can a more expensive/good quality violin makeup for poor technique or certain tones and technique can easily be achieved on good quality violin? She had difficulty doing spiccato with her $25 bow, too heavy. Tmx recommended a $300 bow......but we did not try, circuit breaker came and forgot all about the bow and spiccatos. πŸ˜‚

Shaojunviolin shop recommends the violins and bows based on grades, the grade 8/diploma bow costs $1000.

Playing the same pieces over the next 15 months might get boring though πŸ˜„ But that's your teacher's job to plan. When mine took, we registered in August for December exam. Started work on the ATCL programme in september. Full concerto plus 2 solo pieces. Oh, and was using that 1/2-size violin. Exam studio was v dry - but that is not something we can do anything about.
So awesome for him and his teacher!

Can take ad hoc masterclass lessons with other teachers or record the program and put in teachers facebook group.
Good to know! Tried searching for facebook group, do you know of any to list?
