    • RE: Travel: Japan - General

      Hi,

I'm planning for a 2 weeks self-drive trip to Japan in December or January this year. My itinerary would include Takayama and Shirakawago in Gifu Prefecture. May I know if any forumners have any experience in driving during this period? I understand that it might snow heavily and I would like to know if any of you can share your experience. Is it doable and is it safe?

Also my itinerary is as follows:

      Tokyo
      Gunma Prefecture (1N)
      Nagano (1N)
      Takayama (1N)
      Shirakawago (1N)
      Kyoto (3N)
      Osaka (2N)
      Hakone (2N)
      Tokyo (3N)

I'm doing a round trip, pick up car from Tokyo and drop off at Tokyo.

Do you think this itinerary is too ambitious? Hope someone can help me.

      Thanks! ๐Ÿ˜„

    • RE: 2014 Sec 2 Discussions

      Hi,

Can I know if itโ€™s compulsory to take the 3 Sciences in sec 3 & 4 in order to apply for a medical degree?

I understand that for eligibility, A Levels Chemistry is compulsory and one other science (Physics or Bio). My dd intends to take 2 Sciences (Chem/Bio) and 2 Humanities (Geog/Lit).

However, her tutor told her that although itโ€™s not a requirement to take A level Physics for medicine, she should take triple sciences in Sec 3 and 4 (even if it means dropping it eventually in JC) for application to medicine.

      Anybody knows if itโ€™s true?

      Thanks.

    • RE: Renewal of WP

      Hi,

I'm trying to renew my Filipino domestic worker's WP. In the renewal letter sent by MOM, I have furnish among other things - Disembarkation/Embarkation Card. Can I know what is this?

My maid will not be going back for home leave and there is no need to renew her passport. So there's nothing else to do on my part here correct? Because I've been reading about employment contract, filipino security bond, OEC, OWWA. Getting a bit confused by all this.

      Thanks ๐Ÿ˜„
