YM5...personally don't like this model. Try the U3 (or even a U1) and you will hear and feel the difference.

I tried to play and found it is OK for me haha. Of course if compared to U1, U1 is better hee hee...but the price is more expensive aiks headache le. Got u3? exam model also? made in Jpn or Indo? Thanks!

Hi Ikae, there is one 2yrs old YM5 for sale at jazz paino school at POMO, don't know if its still there..but i still prefer and bought a 16yr old U1 from them even though their price were close..Haha

[I can’t help you on which to get, i think it’s a matter of personal preferance. Once bitten twice shy for me. Gave up hunting for usd piano after kena conned by a supposedly "reputable" shop (i lost $200 deposit). At that time, i didn’t know can check the serial #. The shop owner told me the piano was aroung 15 years. Luckily i took nite of the serial number to check (though after i paid full but not delivered to my place). The serial # indicates that it’s built in 1960s!!!. When i confronted him, he said i heard wrongly - he said ABOVE 15 years, 40 years is above 15 years, not wrong ma. :x
Buying a used piano is difficult and tedious. We spent two weekends covering both ends of singapore viewing pianos. I finally bought a 16 years old U1 for 4200 from Jazz piano school in Pomo. I also signed my daughters up for classes with them. Thank you for all your advices.

You can check the manufacturing year from the serial #.
Tks for the advice,

But the kawai k25 was taken when i brought my daughters piano teacher down to test the piano this afternoon. I was shown a 10yr old yamaha u1 costing much more despite being older than the kawai i was eyeing. My piano teacher owns and think kawai has better sound, what is your opinion?

      Any suggestion would be appreciated.
