      Hi all,

      Anyone can advise if doing two Science Honours (Chem + Physics) will be very tough-going? Is the Honours curriculum very academic focus or has more research or practical elements? Thanks.

      Does anyone know when do the overseas student attachment programme usually take place? Is it normally during the year-end school holidays? Trying to plan for holidays but DS was asking me what happens if OSAP takes place then? Also, such OSAP are usually meant for upper years (4-6) or is it applicable to lower years (1-3) as well? Thanks.

      hi! most OSAP is usually open to the upper years, but some lower year students might have the rare chance to go overseas too. OSAP usually takes place during the march/june (first half)/sept holidays with a few exceptions.

      Thanks Petrichor 😄

      Every year when they play the orientation song, everyone drops whatever they are doing and dance. Very interesting and a culture they should preserve.

      Hi dimitri_can,

      Planning a trip 2A1T (1 teenager) in early Dec. Draft iti below…appreciate any comments/suggestions. Thank you in advance.

      Day 1- arrive late in Tokyo through Haneda airport
      (Any suggestions for hotel in Tokyo?)

      Day 2, 3 & 4 - Shinjuku, Meiji Shrine, Harajuku, Akibahara, Sensōji (a.k.a. Asakusa Kannon Temple), Nakamise-dori, Ginza, Shibuya Crossing, Tsukiji Fish Market (Dai Sushi), National Museum of Nature and Science, The Miraikan and Edo-Tokyo Museums, Caretta Shiodome Illumination
      (Looks like too much to cover? My teen likes science museum…which museum is better if lack of time? Are there English translations in museums? How big are the museums…is full day visit too excessive? What is the logical order to visit these places? I am quite lost on where they are located.)

      Day 4 late afternoon - pick up car and drive to Sagamiko or Yokohama
      (Is Sagamiko Illumination worth visiting?)

      Day 5 - Yokohama Cup Noodles Museum
      Yokohama -> Hakone, stay in Hakone ryokan
      (Any suggestions for Hakone ryokan?)

      Day 6 - Hakone attractions
      Hakone -> Lake Kawaguichi
      (Any suggestions for stay in Kawaguchi?)

      Day 7 - Lake Kawaguchi
      Lake Kawaguchi -> Kawagoe
      Kawagoe attractions
      Kawagoe -> Nikko
      (Is visit to Lake Kawaguichi still necessary after Hakone? I was advised that both places can see Mt Fuji and there is no need to visit both. Is Kawagoe worth visiting?)

      Day 8 - Nikko attractions
      Nikko -> Haneda

      Day 9 - late morning flight Haneda -> Chitose

      Hi,

      Anyone can recommend a ryokan with in-room onsen and Mt Fuji view near Hakone area? What would be a logical road trip from Tokyo to Hakone? Thanks in advance!

      JR:
      The PSG event was well attended. I would estimate about 200 parents? Did a lot of networking and exchanging numbers with parents. Also did a brainstorming session on future PSG activities. Those who missed out will still be receiving the presentation through your email.

      Thanks JR!

      How was the PSG event? Due to busy work schedules, completely slipped my mind.
