RE: Appeal Secondary One Posting
Anyone can advise pls
1. How do we know the cut off point for the year after posting results are out ? Is it posted on the school website or do parents usually call the school office to find out?
2. How soon can we find out β¦ on the day of the posting result announcement?
Thanks -
RE: Appeal Secondary One Posting
Hi can I check if you can appeal to the school only if you have indicated it as one of your choices in the S1 option form ? Is there such a rule?
Or as long as you meet the COP ?

RE: 2020 PSLE Discussions and Strategies(for those born in 2008)
Have to add my 2 cents in to this discussion after all these years of being a member . Just came back to read again cos dd3 is taking psle this year
To COOL NURSE... your daughter's reply is truly amazing ( I couldn't have said all that, even as an adult. Lol ) so she would have definitely aced it..not to worry at all
I think the oral exam is a conversational exam.. so it depends on how the child communicates fluently and effectively abt topics and how they respond to the teachers' questions. I dont think one has to worry abt whether the kids 'missed out certain points ' .. I doubt the teachers have a 'checklist 'of ALL the points that can / have to be covered .. so think parents dont have to anxious about what was missed . Also, if they omitted to say certain things.. nothing can be done now .. so not much point in wondering .
As many have pointed out . Let's all move on and support our kids in the best way possible. What's done cannot be undone. Focus our best efforts on the upcoming papers ahead.. all the best to all P6s of 2020 !! :)) -
RE: GEP 2014 - Screening & Selection
Reading all these comments abt benefits of getting into GEP - I can offer one, based on experience of relative-
kid got into GEP, rejected, did very well in MS. Managed to DSA into top school via academic. This kid has no olympiad or science competitions behind him. Just consistent good results and very likely good performance in screening test / interview.
I've read that it's difficult to DSA into this school via academic if you're a MSer. Hence I surmised that having been accepted into GEP in p3 already gives one a head start.
This is merely a sharing of a case known to me, I have no numbers to quote nor have I been following the various experiences of DSA etc... so don't ham tam me hor

Would like to ask which is better-

Or

RE: NLB's ban on children's books depicting same-sex families
3Boys:
What worries me MUCH MORE is the aggression with which certain parties have reacted to it (NOT referring to anyone in this forum). It appears that only these parties are allowed to voice their views. Everyone else is ignorant, bigoted, overbearing.
Totally agree 3boys!! We were just talking abt this over dinner.. Only certain groups are allowed to loudly share their opinions but any alternative views to their cause is seen as bigoted?

RE: wat skincare products r u using?
Can anyone recommend an eye cream or gel? Can't seem to put anything around my eyes as I often end up with milia. As a result, my under eyes area has ' crepery' skin plus leftover milia.
