sausage:The school has posted a letter to sec 1 parents in the ISP too. Maybe they do read the KSP forum.
:thankyou: for highlighting to us that there's a letter posted in ISP.
Glad all's cleared up now. **thumbs up**

Okay, I don't think it is an issue of ppl don't appreciate. But for lower secondary parents, it is a real issue of worry and concern turned into frustration because of the long wait or lack of information. But given the situation, there is not much time or resources to alert the parents, I guess.
However, through this forum, parents could share and exchange information and have a better view of the overall picture.

Lion_king:No I did not as I have highlighted many times in regards to the systems. My DS still have 6 more years in HC & I do not want him to be hated by the teachers 'cause of us.
Dear Lion_King... I can imagine how worried I will be too, if I were you. How about this approach of gently highlighting this issue to his form teacher (in a lighter note)? At least, message is passed over to the teachers to create awareness, yet DS will not be \"hated\" as parent is only trying to be nice by giving constructive feedback for improvement in future.. ?ER:
Some of his classmates fell sick as they were searching in vain for the MRT. They did not attend school yesterday. Hope that they can get well soon ; with all the forthcoming tests. The teacher directed them verbally that there is a Bus No 67 that can easily bring them back to HWA CHONG. They scouted the entire vicinity for that bus but to no avail. Poor boys have to think of alternatives. He was worried that his parents would be waiting for a long time, he was worried that he might be lost, he was worried his parents would scold him for being late& not allowing him to join the event anymore!!!Imagine if that was your son helplessly getting his way to go home? How would you feel as a parent?
I know how you feel. Have you given school the feedback? You should and I believe there are many unhappy parents out there that will too. The no apology part I feel is not responsible and not walking the talk.
Lion_king:Any DS went to support the Annual final Tracks & Field Championship at the Choa Chu Kang Stadium? It's compulsory for all Sec 1 right? U know they sent them there but left them wandering home by themselves due to technical faults according to Mr Toks. Some of the boys were lost in the rain luckily a few secondary school students direct them the ways? Dun u find it v irresponsible of the school to do so!
akaHCImom:Thanks, akaHCImom!Hi Parents,mum.com:Good morning, parents!

I missed the talk due to last min. office work :frustrated: ..
I have checked with my DS' form teacher and she says that the presentations for the language talk is, unfortunately, not allowed to be put on HCI website.. neither are the teachers allowed to email the soft copies to parents who request for them.
HCI has uploaded the Sec 1 Language Symposium for Parents presentation slides on HCI website. As informed by the EL n CL presenters, HCI will roll out remedial lessons immediately after the talk to help the weaker students. :salute: As stated in the last EL presenation slide, NO TUITION required! :boogie:
:scratchhead: hmmm, I was told they are not allowed to.
Anyway, it's good news that they did post on the website afterall. ^_^

Chandelier:Hi pinky88, :thankyou: very much for sharing. Wow, it will be quite tiring for e Ortus Boys then... as e sec 1 camp will be e day after next.
Thanks, Pinky88!pinky88:
Hi, will let to know whats is this \"IDS\" event in march that Ortus consortium is having? Will the rest of the consortium also be having this \"IDS\" soon? As the school calendar didnt indicate so... :scratchhead: Can any Ortus Parents advise? TIA
Hi Chandelier, IDS is a field trip organised by the school. At the end of the trip, students r to work in groups & submit their project on the field trip as part of the ace. For the past 2 yrs, it has been included in the term 3 ace but I'm not sure if the same applies for this yr since the event is now in T2.
