My son likes non fiction bks now but it’s diffcult to find it in Sg bkshop that are no so wordy, so that he can read on his own and i explain some of it.
I can only find it in bkdepository or borrow from library.
Any bkshop that you can recommend? Thanks!

May i ask:-
My son is 4 yr old. He can read pretty well. But he doesnt seems to understand the sentence/bk. Perhaps could be he speaks mandarin most of the time. I would like to ask, is it necessay to explain to him in mandarin after reading the sentences/bk?
Also is it common for kids not to understand the bks?

there is evaluation before joining, to make sure that the child can write numbers 0-9. last time we attended trial class at the Kidz Academy. There's one coming on this weekend, maybe you want to look. Or else, can just contact the branch you want to attend and inquire about trial class.

Is it true that for EM, there are 2 types, Grass root and non grass root?
Grass root: qualified for P2B privilege
Non grass root: Not qualified for P2B privilege

jaymeegg: mine is 2 hr playgroup per day, 5 days a wk. Aircon. But not sure are the rest of the PCF playgroup having the same fees.

mommy2two: im paying for pcf playgroup $160 per month. you are right, some pte kindy are also ard $160. which they have better ciriculum and more structure kind of learning. hmm…will check and if still the same then i will change to pte kindy.

in my gal's childcare/nursery; no nid to buy any books coz they have a small library area for the kids. but sometimes i let her bring her own books to class to share.
