Many thanks for the replies! My son is posted under G3 but his chinese is AL6. He really struggles with this and he would be happy if G2 means it is easier. It sounds like he may be able to make a choice either G2 or G3. I think I won’t buy the books yet and check back with the school if he can opt for G2. Thanks again!

Does any one know if my child had AL6 for Chinese should he be in G2 or G3 for mother tongue? Do we get to choose or the teacher? (currently buying the books). Which will have more advantage. Thanks!

My child academically is quite strong, but his ADHD can make it difficult socially, like integrating into the class, managing bullies etc. Are teachers approachable, and supportive? Just planning ahead for June hols. Does anyone know the rough dates that schools will call for DSA interview or tests? I checked a few schools and it seems like the DSA interviews are mostly around last week of June school holidays. So I guess going away on the first week of school holidays should be OK?

Just wondering if anyone knows if kid fails chinese at P6 but still excels in the DSA domain, will it affect his standing? Some DSA IP schools (non SAP) require the kid to take HCL so I wonder if these schools will reject application of child based on poor CL. appreciate your feedback. Thanks

I understand many schools are not having graded mid year exams this year which may mean DSA schools won’t be able to use the mid year results as part of their assessment of the eligibility of the student. What do you all think?
