Thanks Proudy mum! I’ll hv to check with them for next yr’s BAC since she’ll be turning 13 and the foun class is for 10-12 yrs old. I guess it shouldn’t be an issue.

Is there dancing in the sleeping beauty pdtn or just acting?

So yr dd started BAC since P4? Is she now in BAC foun or int class? Is she in SBA? which grade? Sorry so many qns

My dd is in BAC foun. Hv not registered cos I don't know if it's going to be the same program next yr. She hasn't started on pointe so can't apply for int. Will current BAC students automatically be in next yr's intake as long as they apply?

Sota also recommends/encourages students to audition for BAC from what I've read in this forum.

No. Did yr dd join? This is my dd’s 1st yr of BAC. Purpose was to sort of prepare for sota’s audition and gain experience. Is it different each yr?

PSLE results this Thu. I wish there's a way of knowing in advance if my dd has been posted to sota.

I guess due to a large no. of participants in a single dance showcase (family members usually would want to watch), less frequent showcases, limited capacity and all, it's not open to the public.


The dance showcase was very enjoyable. It was the second time I watched sota dance showcase. The standard is definitely high. If only they could squeeze in another ballet performance :).

dance and theatre, do u get to have a recording of the girls' performances, perhaps during their rehearsals? The Chinese dance was great too. It must be hard for the girls who had to twirl the handkerchief. I'm looking at the performance schedule. The guy in the 2nd (I think) performance, is he Ivan Koh? Really fantastic dancer. He looked like a professional dancer. Everyone did really well. It's really tough having to juggle academic and the arts and excelling in both.

After leaving the drama theatre we passed by the concert hall and went in to enjoy the music showcase! The night was still early

No intrusion hehe this forum is open to public Dance showcase is via invitation as mentioned by proudy mom (thanks!). You may want to check out the music showcase (tomorrow also) for which registration can be done online at sota website.
