For those whom had attended the tablet briefing last Sat, I wonder how many of you will not proceed to purchase the Acer tablet?


The question raised by the gentleman at the end of the briefing was good, I quote "Don’t do this for the sake of doing it" unquote. I think he is right and for many will agree for what he said as well.

Just hope that the school is not trying too hard to keep the school status of being a "Future School" for the sake of being one.

Yeah true and I don't even think is possible for cars to go in to the school. Look at the large numbers of school bus waiting at the car park.

Umbrella is a better option than driving in.

I purchased the P1 text book during the orientation day, and found that i was overcharged by almost $100 when i reach home.


Am lucky they wrote the price they collected from me on the book list and was then able to get back the refund.

You might want to check the amount and books given are all correct again.

Agree with you. Everything is quite vague thus far at least for my boy's class:

- Chinese told us to prepare 2 exercise books when he came back on Tues and yesterday night I checked his bags, the 2 books are still there.
- And unless some of the classes, teachers also don't give a list of what books they have kept in school

Thus far, I personally feel that the school/teacher-parents communication is rather weak. For instance, on the first day we were told what time to take the kids to school but was never formally informed what time is dismissal (got to ask around), then the acroynms used was not spelt out like the mass PE and music (again found out only through the forum), then the books to bring, how they will be coping for recess today now that the 3 days of catered food is over (again understand from checking around informally that P2 will buddy them) etc etc...

I wonder if there should be a better way to do things moving forward? Like a FAQ for first time P1 parents?

Yes, agree with you. Perhaps it will be good for us to suggest to the school to prepare a FAQ for next year P1 intake.

Today i found out something which most parents would love to know..
that is how they allocate P1 classes.
One P2 student told me that the classes are allocated by the students' height. Which means that the short 1 will go to class A and the tallest will go to Class J.
I dont know is it correct. (I found it quite accurate as my DD are quite short) So can we confirm by stating our child height here? I shall start first.

(A) If they have PE lesson, can i assume that they can wear PE attire the entire day?

(B) There are so many text books for English lesson. What must we bring or we need to bring all? How about other subject?

What about recess time for tomorrow and day after? Will someone be there to guide the kids to buy food?

I think since is a common concern for most, they could have prepare us with a FAQ.
