All 150 seats at the back row of a concert hall are priced at 3/5 that of the other seats. There are 600 seats altogether, and when all the seats are sold, the amount collected is $2700. Find the price of each seat at the back row of the concert hall

my method is 1/2-1/5 = $15

5/10-2/10 = $15
3 units = $15
1 unit = $5
5 units = $25

my method correct?

1. At a concert, the number of men is 4/7 of the number of women. There are 440

adults altogether. How many women are there in the concert?

Ans = 280
But how do I explain to my child, 4parts = men & 7 parts = women?

2. ½ of Joshua’s savings is equal to 4/5 of Megan’s savings. The difference between
their savings is $15. What is Megan’s total savings?


Ans = $25?

But when i work backwards I dun seem to get $25, is my ans correct?
