Can anybody pls help to advise which is a better school, Chongzheng or White Sands Primary School. As I'm thinking of doing a PV for both schools but not too sure which school has a history of producing better academic and personal development school.

Thank you for sharing with us with great details. I really couldnt imagine the stressed that you been thru ESP both schools are the top schools! You must have done a lot of work in preparing the PV form. It's a great blessing that your ds understand all the efforts that you and dh have put in!

Just to clarify, the application that you have submitted for school b before you apply for school c is it the Parent Support Form? As I'm very confused that how do the school b knows that u r keen in them whereby we are only allow to register once for our child in 1 school.

So sorry that I mistook u as another user...
Now I have a better understanding in why PV in 2 schools r good. Not only will I get to know more abt the school, I would also have some interactions from the students.

I'm also puzzled by what u have shared with us in transferring your ds to school b. How do the school b knows that u have an intention to put your DS to their school when you couldn't manage to get into phase 2b? Do u still try for school b in phase 2c or can we put on a waiting list so that the school b knows your intention? Kindly do share with us in your experience pls.

I really should learn from you so that I can have clear conscious in future that I have put in as much effort as you in putting my dd in my desired school! Haa!

As I'm a mother of two and with no maid to help out so really in a difficult situation as in which 2 schools should I do PV (Gongshang, White sands or Chongzheng)? Based on your reply, it seems to me that you would advise me to submit all 3 first as not all PV applications would b successfully accepted right? Hopefully the timeline for the school would b almost the same...

Congratulation in placing your ds in the school b! Im sure all the PV done in the school is worth it and would u mind sharing with me did your ds transfer in his p1? Was it easier to do a transfer as compared to registering?

My ideal school for my dd will b Gongshang Primary School (1st choice),
Chongzheng & White Sands Primary School (2nd choice) still couldnt decide which is a better school… Could u advise me based in your expertise which school should b my backup plan should my idea school PV is not successful?

As I do not wish to jeopardise the students’ work hence Im still deciding whether should I do PV for white sands Pri school as my ideal school haven’t gotten back to me regarding my PV application.

Now I'm much more aware in which direction I should go.
Ohh your child is also born in 2008? My guess is that the Sch that u are going will b somewhere in Bt Timah ma? I wish to stay within that area too as there r so many good school ard there! Hee!
Btw, white sands Pri have called me up for the PV though it's not my first choice of Sch can I withdraw my PV should I being short listed by the Sch that I desired while doing my PV in white sands? I'm so sorry that I sound so selective however i do hope that u will understand that most parent would want the best for their children.

Many thanks for the advises and elaboration. Now I have a much in depth on how the system is like. Starting to feel the stress!!!
I have seen called up the school in Pasir Ris, they have asked me to write a CV on the contributing factors which I can made to the school. I was flabbergasted! Can I ask how should I begin the CV? Are there any sample which u can advise me? Din know that applying a PV is so much similar as job hunting.

Chief, I'm staying at Tampines and my intention is to do PV to get a place in the following school. However I do not know whether should I send in all 4 applications or should just send in 1 school at a time. From your experience and expertise, which should would I stand a higher chance?

1) White Sands within 1km
2) Gongshang Pri 1km to 2km (desired Sch)
3) Pasir Ris Pri 1km to 2km
4) Chongzheng Pri Sch 1km to 2km
