The GEP students are distributed across the level, no more specific GEP classes for many years.
Hi, is the SBGE programme at RGS integrated into the curriculum for all RGS students, or only for selected students? Is selection based on whether they were from GEP?

Hi! Sorry if this has been asked before but I can’t really read through all 200 pages of this thread 😅 May I ask if anybody knows what’s the demographic like at Farrer Park Primary? Is it very much a local school or is there a stronger mix of international students?

Considering to apply for the school so any feedback about the school culture, Teachers etc will be helpful too!

      Thank you!

For those in string ensemble cca, is there any expectation for them to take up their own private violin lessons outside of school?

      Hi there,

May I know if there is a link to look for the most updated vacancies for Phase 2B and 2C for all the schools at the moment? Are they allocated equally between these 2 phases?

      Thanks much.
      Yes, allocated equally.

      Hi dear parents 🙂

My girl born in 2016 so will join P1 exercise next year for the 2023 P1 intake. We live within 1KM of St Margaret (Wilkie road). however, in view of the temporary holding site till Jan 2024 - when we do P1 registration next year, do they use the registration address as Wilkie or the matta road (which will be a problem for us)?

many thanks for your kind advice!
Wilkie road. Doesn't use the holding site address.

P3 is not really Swimsafer training. It is just one term (10 weeks or less) of very basic how to be water safe in a swimming pool. Followed by some online open book theory quiz. MOE just doing its bare minimum to make sure lower chance of drowning among SG kids. One big group of 80 kids can be split up by 3 coaches: non-swimmers / some experience / expert swimmers.

But there will always be gaps, Eg. This year P3s won’t have to take the course due to Covid.

It’s up to you whether u want to introduce your child to swimming / water safety during preschool years. Some kids love water, some simply fear it. Some may be willing to learn at P3 together with their classmates, some dread it. Depends on your child. If really terrified of water, P3 coach also cannot do much. It’s not a graded test or anything.[/quote]
      Thank you for the sharing.

For a complete beginner to learn to be watersafe, it is better to start earlier, say, in preschool, instead of waiting till the P3 Swimsafer training in school? Does it get harder to learn by then?
