      Dear all,
We will be overseas in Dec and will only be back in SG on 1 Jan. The bookshop lady said the 2020 booklist will only be out on S1 reporting day, but we won’t be around.

We hope to buy some of the “compulsory” books before we leave for our trip. May I know which textbooks Y1 uses for Math and Literature?

If anyone still has a copy of the 2019 Y1 booklist, kindly PM me a copy.

      Thank you so much. 🙏🏻
We are in same situation. DS just got his WL converted today and we will be overseas during reporting day.

It may be a factor, but haven't seen that being discussed openly on KSP 😂

      There was.

I am aware of the school fees. However when you compare schools for example RGS and NJC, the former cost about $21,600 for 6 years, excluding supplementary fees. Whereas NJC or any of the government subsidised schools cost just 1/10 of it. Adding the supplementary fees, differences is about $20K, which can go towards external leadership courses, coach fees for sports, music, other interests, etc. or even invested to help fund university education.

Yes, having the bursaries or scholarships do help, however not everyone qualifies for them.

Also, is the difference in fees paid justified by the difference in quality of education that can be received from the schools? I know it’s difficult to quantity quality, but can’t help thinking about it.[/quote]Still cheaper than childcare. *tongue in cheek*

      HCI waitlisted academics.

I heard that the chances for HCI WL to get a place are quite good.

    • RE: All About PSLE AL Scoring System

Should we start another topic on this MTL exemption discussion and petition or another topic to discuss the understanding and tackling of the AL scoring system? The discussion is overwhelmingly centred on the MTL exemption which I believe there are many parents who are more concerned about understanding the AL system going forward (original intent of this thread, I believe) and much less about MTL exemptions and the justice of it.
