Can anyone give me your views about TLL and LP? How different are they in terms of materials and curriculum? And which is your preference and why? :thankyou:

My daughter concurrently attended both TLL and LP English for almost half year when she was in K2. She preferred TLL as she found it more challenging.

      JMHO:

TLL is more like enrichment than tuition. That is, you are quite sure that your child has a good grasp of English and you send your child to TLL so that he/she could be stretched further. I have seen students attending TLL but had to quit as they were not able to cope or see no improvement for the high fees paid.

LP more conventional. Is more of a tuition than an enrichment. Their worksheets are systematic

and provides a good foundation in English.
Thank you for your feedback, this is exactly what I wanted to find out. We have been with LP for 2 years since K1 and although we are very grateful to LP for teaching ds to read, I feel it is now time to move on. I found their last year's worksheets a tad too routine and drilling. Hence, I started to have these thoughts of late. Thank you for your prompt advice :thankyou:
I agree . LP worksheets are very conventional . My daughter was there for lower Pri and found it not challenging enough so we left

      Hi,

Desperately looking for an tuition/enrichment centre who is good with teaching English Pri 5 creative writing, comprehension, synthesis etc.

My gal has been with Mindstretcher English for 1.5 years and found not much improvement in her writing, comprehension. Her fundamentals are alright (not advanced level).

Can anyone recommend any good enrichment centre ? Is TAS good and which teachers will you recommend for parents with kids attending TAS and have seen improvement ?

      Thanks.
Hey, you want to try The Cognitive Hub? My child has been there for 2 years and she is in P6 now. I am happy with their teaching and child improved

    • RE: All About Getting Help for Students Weak in Math

Hey, urgent help needed. Any recommendation for a good Maths private tutor for my daughter who is in P5 going to P6 next year . She is very weak in her Maths and the present tutor does not seem to be able to help her much. Appreciate any recommendation. I prefer private tutor.

      for P3 to P6-

so far, which centre teach both English (Comprehension & Composition) lessons combined together in one lesson, not separated ?
I am not very sure what you mean but my P5 daughter's centre have lessons which get them to write but at the same time have parts of the lesson that teach reading skills which are useful for Comprehension. But their Compre questions require lots of thinking skills. I like it and they encourage reading.

Learning point does not have separate classes for compo and comprehension. They cover everything including oral, if I am not wrong.

LP does not have pure compo class. It is all-in-one class. I find that not enough practises for compo if we solely depend on the centre to deliver the result.

When my niece was there they cover everything but my sister compared her daughter's writing with her friend's daughter also in same level and centre and discovered the story which her daughter write was the same as her friend's daughter. So my sister was confused. As far as I heard from my sister, they cover everything. Hope this shraing helps

My opinion is LP follow by TAS. DS has joined LP now.

My niece join LP for Kindergarten and was good but left in P2 because the lessons are not very creative.
