With respect to the Ai Tong and Pei Hwa cases, I'm not sure what happened or whether it was a misunderstanding, but the idea of having deadlines on Phases is to prevent exactly things like that from happening. If you \"forgot\" to register in time, then you have passed up your chance to do so, and that should be the end of it. No excuse should be accepted either by the school or the authorities, otherwise, the whole system breaks down.

Chief, \"you hit the nail on the head\", the issue here is that the PV was taken out from Phase 2B from Ai Tong and Pei Hwa AFTER the Phase 2A deadline has passed...which is not suppose to happen and which is unfair to those parents and kids who qualify for Phase 2B ... in Pei Hwa case, in the end 7 kids were deprived of a chance to get in, instead of 5 if the 2 places was not taken out...I can imagine how the parents who missed out feel and most of them have earned it through the parents volunteer scheme....very sad!!

Hi, you can quote my incident to the MP and see what he says. Anyway

for my case because of this incident it was a last minute decision…I applied and got in Phase 2B in Maris Stella High…although is quite far
but in the end I think we have made the right choice…but this incident has shown that the registration process is still NOT Transparent enough.

I am staying at Bukit Panjang … got my son in Phase 2B Maris Stella…

still thinking whether I should move to some where closer…

Tried driving in the morning to the school (off Bartley Rd) via PIE exit
Upper Serangoon Rd … took abt 25 - 30 mins at constant speed…traffic wise quite smooth at around 6.15 am

Don’t know if there is a School Bus Service that goes from West to MS…

My wife and me registered our son to Pei Hwa, at the start of the

Phase 2B registration the vacancies were 71 and on the second day …
they took out 2 places … and the exact same reason was given that
some parents from previous phases signed up…

This is totally absurb, I think MOE should control this kind of abnormality, it is unfair to those kids in the later stage… anyway in the end we decided
to register else where…

Phase 2B to Maris Stella … found this forum useful … my next problem
is distance … I live in Bt Panjang… and MS is at Bartley Rd … hmmm
don’t know if we have made a mistake… but thinking of solutions to move to somewhere nearer…
