in 2019. Not only dd need to learn. I also need to learn. I heard of Band A but in my mind I really don't know from what marks lor..and paiseh to ask also. From P1 to P6, the band A will be of the same range? And since 70-75 will be A, the band A will be from 70 onward?

Oh gosh, my dd is not only weak at one area. I can only hope that she could catch up by starts of P5.

3 years time. so she is in p3 this year.
no need to feel paiseh...we are all learning something new everyday...at the rate MOE changes regulations. grades are moderated according the results of students taking psle that year.

      I think in P3-P4, they use Band 1, 2 ,3.
      Band 1 _ 85% and above
      Band 2 - 70%-84%
      Band 3 -n50%-69%
      Band 4 - below 50%

      But in P5 and P6, they go by A*, A, B, Cs

      A*- 91% above
      A - 75%-90%
      B- 60%-74%
      C - 50%-59%
      D - 35%-49%
      E - 20%-34%
U - below 20%[/quote]Actually, the maximums all have minor errors.
for example, Band 2 shld be 70%-below 85% cause chances are will have decimals. Same for everything else.

If do not cool, may have water vapour and will drip onto food, food may turn soggy or so(all depends on what food). Others I can't answer, sry.

I pack it fairly soon after I cook. but the side with the fruits/treats - I usually keep in fridge until I leave the house. I then wipe down any vapour on the cover, and place the cold \"dishes\" in the box before I leave the house. That is about 1/2hour before he eats - as in, when I pack up everything nicely from home to the time he eats in school.

His food is not \"crispy\" wat - so no problem with soggy - rice not meant to be eaten dry either, right?

Here's an example. Beef/Vege/Rice. Photo taken at home and photo of the same box before he ate (only this photo taken with handphone, so a bit low-resolution).

just as he open box to eat in school
      https://c2.staticflickr.com/2/1708/24677330124_f765aab5b3.jpg\">

Most of the foods - eg. Teriyaki salmon with vege and stuff - all no problem. eg. like the Meatballs I did yesterday (in the pic in earlier post) - meatballs are not meant to be crispy, so that's fine too. I've not packed stuff like french fries (wouldn't waste my time frying such).

Only once - rather recently, I had this amusing moment bc I wanted to decorate a fishcake. ANd I did it with cheese. Forgot that the warmth would melt the cheese. *hahhaha*!!!! 😉

But the boy was still very happy, laughing away saying he STILL recognises that it is BB8.

If I do a stew style- eg. Japanese Curry, I actually put the curry in a separate thermos flask (leakproof). In this lunch, I had a minced beef in the container. When in school and ready to eat, we poured the Japanese curry from the thermos on top of the minced beef so that in this pic, you don't even see the minced beef already.
      https://c2.staticflickr.com/2/1515/25282054656_770be4393a.jpg\">

This was how it was packed to school. The thermos keeps soups or gravy or stew nicely warm. I would do this if packing noodles or spaghetti too (the noodles pack dry and pour soup or gravy later from thermos.
      https://c2.staticflickr.com/2/1530/25012684420_7c0784d8e3.jpg\">

The only \"crispy\" food item I do pack is breaded chicken (like nuggets, but I make this myself). After frying, I just place on kitchen towelette (tissue-type) on the counter to cool (drain oil if any too?). And I just make sure it is packed not in contact with the other food. It stays sufficiently nice. The boy doesn't complain about it. I've eaten it and tastes fine.
      https://c2.staticflickr.com/2/1570/25215154741_cbf7d85374.jpg\">

This was what it looked like in school - boy has the habit of keeping the food stuff he likes to eat to eat last (hence the rather empty container already - but left that last piece of chicken).
      https://c2.staticflickr.com/2/1661/24940605629_9a472452d1.jpg\">

As I have mentioned, depends on food. Btw, I don't know for you, but rice with water vapour is yuck, for me at least. I guess everyone has different opinions 🤷 .

Lunch - this I bring from home bc of CCA. Have to eat in 15mins, so he wants easy bite pieces. And yes @buds, I like the Ikea box (which is similar to this) - but bc I wanted to limit amount of food, I used the smaller Japan Home box:
      https://c2.staticflickr.com/2/1548/25151644802_fc1a23e901.jpg\">

      Both boxes are leak-proof.

Hi Phankao, do you need to cool the hot food before packing into the Japan Home box? Or can the food be pack into the box while still hot? What was the time gap from the time food is cooked and packed till your DS' lunch break?

If do not cool, may have water vapour and will drip onto food, food may turn soggy or so(all depends on what food). Others I can't answer, sry.

Bought these from NTUC @ Bt Timah Plaza, $9.45 a box. Displayed at the chiller next to the frozen peas.

I think it is not right to store these at this chiller, too cold. Can't taste any sweetness. I should have let it rest at room temperature before eating.
Looks so tasty! Anyone else know where else it's sold?

      sushi88:
If your kid is bullied and there is strong evidence of it plus witnesses, the boy should receive some form of disciplinary action from the school and not force you to keep looking for solutions for your daughter. If bullies can get away with it, what is to guarantee there are no bullies in other schools? Especially in your case, the bully strikes daily, it should be easy to let him strike when the principal is watching. If the school refuses to act on it for no valid reason, it should be escalated to MOE. Why does the school not allow a transfer of class unless the combo of subjects your child takes is a unique one, otherwise the school has no reason to do so if your child needs help from daily torment. Ignore? is rubbish advice if the boy is deliberately targeting at your child daily.

Sometimes people have no time to write long posts so don't jump to conclusion. Leaving one liner helps you to probe your issue. Why are you having to do so much when the boy just gets away with his antics? Even if you decide to transfer, the boy has to be disciplined by the school if he is such a terror.
Principal rarely walks around school during times when students are about though...

Btw, I only said that to make you guys feel better gosh. Unless the boy changes, you almost HAVE to bear with it for at least 1 year. Anyways, another good way is to just avoid him. Unless he for some reason(school just started, not very possible) hates your kid, he probably won't just go after your kid.

Im using my DD's account as I do not own an account (planning to make one)My DD is in a 188 school and her PSLE score last two years was 193.She decided to study harder to go into a better school. The reason why she plans to transfer because due to the bad friends she had 😓 she cries about it and it made me so worried. She also wanted to support our family and to become more sucsessful. She mostly scored an A1 and some A2 for her subjects in her examination . She got gold for her NAPFA test and has represented the school before in one of her CCA's.She has been the top student for 2 years now.she is planning to take the RGS's transfer exam and do you think that she will be able to take the transfer exam for sec 3?Due to her schooling in a 188 school and her PSLE score...And what will the negative results be if she gets to transfer school? I heard that she would lose some CCA points.. If so,how many will she lose? Please reply as soon as possible thanks 😄

Well, just a thought, you may want to ask her about her post-secondary/pre-U education. Afterall, RGS is IP so if she goes there no choice. Both JC and Poly have their strengths, though the common misconception is that JC is ALWAYS better.

Spoken to the VP & school counsellor. Sc not able to do anything except counsel my girl to ignore.

I called many schools all no vacancy at the moment.

I do not believe in calling the boy's parents because they will always believed their son is a good boy in their eyes.
Every school has similar problem. I used to have such a problem. Everything will be fine eventually, or at least it did for my case.
