RE: Junior Sports Academies
Went for the selection yesterday.
It was crazy. Long long wait. Supposed to be 2.5 hrs event, ended to be a 4.5 hrs.
Long queue, and so many parents where waiting outside, loitering around, sitting on the staircase or on the grass patches not knowing what time will the kids be released.
Kids were tired after the selection, not because of the physical activity but by the long wait and doing nothing. -
RE: Junior Sports Academies
Junior Sports Academy (JSA) Selection Trials 2022 is coming again.
Any comments from the seniors?
I have some questions:
- What is the purpose of the programme? I understand that it is to discover sports talents among the kids.
I hope that my kid can be exposed to different sports and have fun playing rather than going competitive.
Is this programme for him?
- If selected, will JSA run trainings on top of the current CCA ?
- What is the selection about? Not easy to get selected right?
Thanks -

RE: 2015 P1 Registration Exercise for 2016 In-Take
Will the updated statistics be provided in the school? Like how many applicants are SC, within 1km, and how many SC applicants with 2 km and so on? So that we can access the risk of balloting?
ThanksChiefKiasu:
Many parents don't realise that there are multiple levels of priority. There's the priority across Phases based on affiliation, and there's priority within Phases based on citizenship and distance. That's why the exercise is so complex.klcc23:
btw, let say there are 20 places left by the time P2C and there are 30 registrians.
Does these 30 children go for the balloting or only 10 children??
If all 30 registrants vying for the 20 seats in a Phase have the same intra-level priority, then all 30 will have to ballot for the 20 seats.
However, if 10 parents are citizens who stay within 1 km,
5 parents are citizens who stay within 2km,
10 parents are citizens who stay outside of 2km, and
5 parents are PR who stay within 1km,
then the 10 citizens and 5 citizens who stay within 1km and within 2km respectively will get a seat WITHOUT balloting, while the 10 citizens who stay outside 2km will have to ballot for the 5 remaining seats.
The 5 PRs will not even get a chance to ballot. They will be eliminated immediately from the competition. -
RE: Travel: China - Hong Kong
Hello, I have booked a trip to Hong Kong in June.
7 Days, with my 2 kids (3 and 6 years old).
From the weather forecast, it is going be "A shower and t-storm around 28°Lo 26°" and "A couple of showers 28°Lo 27°". We are kinda worried.
We planned to go Disneyland, Ocean Park and Peak.
Any other attractions will you recommend for kids or family.

RE: Anderson Primary
Some questions about day care service:
1) Does APS provide day care service?
2) What is the recommended day care service in the neighbourhood?
3) Is it recommended for P1 to start day care service? -
RE: Anderson Primary
dear aps parents,
I am some enquiries about the school:
1) the workload of the kids during P1
2) how do they orient the p1s
3) are they single session in 2016? And what is their session timing like (start and end school timing)
4) will they be moving back to the original campus by 2016?
5) do they have open house?
