My girl just joined TAS in term 2. What I observed is the teacher will usually reply the next working day. However, I did checked with the teacher on specifically how to improve my girl's composition with regards to his comments. He told me will get back to me but I have not received any reply till now (after few days). So I am not sure when is a suitable time to check with the teacher again, considering they are busy teaching too.

For parents who send the kids to HA( high ability) class could you kindly share experience? Would it be overkill? main focus is to score well in school exam
and eventually psle together. My kid is above average but I wonder we should consider HA vs regular class. HA classes is also very limited class And I wonder why. I am not sure if the teacher would explain less in HA assuming they already know a lot and just let them do more practice. My kid is still not truly clear on certain components as the school pace is pretty slow and lack of practice on challenging /tricky questions.

From what I understand, all classes learn the same basics but generally HA students get the hang of it faster. So the teacher will spend less time going over those again and can go quicker or try more challenging exercises. So normal classes teacher may use time to reinforce what was learnt, while HA classes teacher can go ahead to more challenging work or thinking exercises.

I went for the HA trial before but I think the normal class pace suits my child better. The normal work is already quite challenging for my child...

Hi, is TAS good for PSLE preparation ?

They teach to the PSLE syllabus and my Ds finds the lessons useful as it is clear and structured. He can repeat the rules he learned and after a few months he wasn’t just guessing the answers on his paper. Because of the number of practices he does weekly I think he grew more confident…

I was quite impressed by the number of compositions they prepared for the children before the PSLE. I think at least 50? Their materials leading up to PSLE was very extensive as well.

Overall PSLE was a stressful year… glad it’s over and he did well.
