RE: Club 2005 Kids
Hi,
I have a 2005 son, P5 this year. Busy year, many days need to stay back for supplementary
leesons, Maths Olypiad training. As for handphone games, he got very addicted too, so I limit him to playing on weekends, Fri, Sat & Sun for 20-30mins each day.
He does not have tuition although I feel like sending him to Chinese writing class but
do not know where to send. On weekends, he has TKD on Saturday and Piano lesson on
Sunday. Weekdays i don’t think he has time for tuition.
PSLE next year, wants to give him additional work but see he already so tied up with
school work and tired so also can’t push much.
He is in the first class this year, his teachers are quite fierce and loud,
so he said he is stressed when he sees
certain teacher. Last year, he is in the second class and much happier together with
his best friend so he does pretty well. Haiz…not sure how he will do this year with these
unfavourite factors and all subjects getting harder. And chinese, he doesn’t like and speaks like a potato as he mostly read English books and communicate with his friends in English.
So his Chinese Composition is not good.
The rest of the subjects he is alright. -

RE: General Election 2015
Well after the 2011 election, the PAP did try to solve the transport and housing issues, slow down the inflow of foreign workers and professional and mingle more with people on the ground and social media like FB.
But can we take it that all is well and vote out the opposition and let things go back to pre-2011 election?
Voters will have to decide.
Will the effect of LKY and SG50 celebration mood translate into more votes for the PAP? It remains to be seen. -
RE: General Election 2015
The 2011 election results showed that there is no guarantee heavyweight ministers can keep the GRCs. It still depend on how much the voters want opposition candidates to get into parliament.
Last time they always thought that having a heavyweight minister can secure a GRC. But the results of 2011 election where quite a no. of GRC only manage to get over 55% of votes make this tactic seem like it don’t work so well anymore.
People got tired of this, especially when new candidates got parachuted into parliament under the GRC system.
I feel they should go one on one, that is what election should be and leave it to the electorate to nominate those candidates they want to enter parliament.
Till now we still have 5 and 6 persons GRCs. They still refuse to give up the GRC system or have smaller GRC like 3 persons which is good enough to fulfill the minority races criteria.
